You were tested in your infancy and sent to the priesthood for study, your aptitude for both magic and blade made you a prime candidate to study the infernal powers that permeated your world. A priest of Lloth. Fifty years you spent sequestered away, forging weapons of unbridled terror and longing for the day when you’d bring pride to the noble house that reared you. Raised in the eternal evergloom of nearly impenetrable darkness, you mastered the power of shadows as you bent them to your will, calling to the eldritch horrors that also called the Underdark their home. Mind flayers succumbed to your blade, golems fell to your power, and beasts of shadow bent to your superior will. You were the child of an ambitious house one who struck against a family of drow and were found guilty of the crime. Their hope was to climb the social ladder because in the Underdark the rule was always kill or be killed. In Menzoberranzan the only crimes ever committed were those that left evidence behind, the useless members of your family were executed in horrific fashion but you were absorbed into the royal family. You were made another of Queen Ayi’ig’s children and there you served faithfully, leading conquests into the Underdark, subjugating trolls and gnomes and raising beasts of shadow to fill the rank and fold of the queen’s army. In the Court of Drow you took your place, master of beasts and eldritch changelings.

A dawn elf no longer, a spring fey no longer, a drow no longer, a human no longer. Severon was once more reborn, rising from the ashes that he had help to make. There was a mixture of pride and sheepishness to him when he thought back on the children that he had created that had nearly destroyed all realms. But the knowledge he'd gained was imperative and so Severon had retained all the memories that he knew he would have otherwise lost. Though he had sworn to his mother that he would no longer ever create his own souls, Severon's mind could not be halted. There was much more he would work to help create for their new world - this odd, tentative peace that the Triumvir had tried to make. He was under no impression it would last.

So it was best to prepare. Severon had rebuilt his laboratory and so much more, creating a place where part of the future of the dark elves would be built. "What do you think?" he asked the other elf, grinning. "Not of my laboratory, I'm full aware that it is magnificent. But of... all of this. The new leadership, the alliances... everything"

Everything lingered prior to the void. Lingered, and etched it's way throughout the beastmaster in ways he hadn't anticipated. To return from nothing and steep his own admonition in stopping the artificer from turning on his machines had certainly not been something predicted. The war was over - perhaps before it ever began, and yet, still, Amadeus felt the sting of dissatisfaction. The new order of dark elves - of drow, felt wholly wrong. However much Lloth might have believed the matron's and handmaidens of their kind to be the only ones worthy of power - of trust, the beastmaster would invariably conclude that all mistakes of the drow fell to the matriarchy that deemed all others capable. So many of them had spent centuries perfecting their skills - their devotion to Lloth, to do little more than counsel.

"How long will this one last?" He taunts, tongue in cheek as a rather wistful gaze sweeps the laboratory - not yet destroyed. "How much of what you discovered will be implemented in this new society of ours?" Did it matter much? Not to him - not particularly, but Amadeus knew that as part of the darkness, they would be the first to tread the line of insanity and then some. "I'm not sure what I think of it, not yet." Still, little had been done beyond the restructure. Did he trust the loyal counselors among them would be invariably utilized? Praised, for their devotion? "It all seems a little too... orderly."

The beast came to heel, rearing it's ugly head and tempering the cacophony of noise with a humbling roar of it's own as it's two front feet followed suit and landed with a heavy thud. He'd spotted Andruil from above, Her offense still easily recognized, even after years of absence from their sparring. From the hide of his beast, he laughs - a deeply unsettling sound as she drives one of his own creatures into the ground. Amadeus says nothing, the predator within him merely watching as his prey dances back and forth before him in the dance of death as more of his creatures flank her, drawing her ever nearer the wyrm's snapping maw. "And so this is how you finally meet with death, how poetic."

Amadeus appeared from beyond rubble, a city crushed beneath the weight of war - above, the wrym screeched something vile, spilling flame across the land below as it snapped up a mouthful of elandrin. Severed limbs fell from the sky, bodies with life all but snapped from them by the maw of the beast. And Nyloth, keeper of the dark presented herself as a sequestered vision, "Praise be to Lloth," despite the jagged, shark tooth edge of his smirk, there is nothing short of devotion that spills from his lips as he approaches the mother matron, the cover of his hood shadowing all else, "This gift she has given you holds great promise." Without the sun, the drow were no longer sequestered away from their magicks; a blind sighting that none should have seen coming.

It wasn’t common, for Deo to allow the lair he kept within the otherworld to remain open for all drow and followers of the Leviathan to traverse, but certainly, precedence had been set long ago for those closest to their Queens’ inner circle. “I think you’ll find a few creatures that pique your interest..” and it was as much as he’d allow to linger for the time being. “I believe I’ve found a serpents lair,” back in the otherworld, it’d taken a great amount of time and effort, coordinating the search from the scriptures he’d read. Rare as they were, they weren’t gone. “I’d like to bring the beast to heel, but I’ll need the means to contain it to begin with.” Alone, and without being the creatures overseer as he intended, he was no match for it alone - but he’d yet to find a creature he couldn’t taint, surely, that wasn’t about to start now. “I don’t need to explain to you how we’d fare with one of those in our back pockets.”

Severon let out a low and rumbling laugh as he nodded. “Say no more, Deo..” He was grinning as he looked over. “You’ll come by to see what I am working on and lend me your wisdom… then I can lend you what I have. A few of my machines to your aid and a cage strong enough to hold a dragon. That should suffice, shouldn’t it?” He took in a sharp breath. “Ah, and I do have a collar you might like that I’ve been working on. We shall test it first hand on some greater beasts and then maybe we can walk around your serpent like a little pet.” He chuckled. “Her Majesty will love to see it.”

He reached over and patted the other’s shoulder once. “A deal is a deal, then?”

An easy transaction, and one that would repeat itself over and over, no doubt. Too often did their specializations intertwine and more often than not, there was nothing that couldn't be gained for the both of them. And then some. "Always the right man for the job," he teased, "you spoil me." Although there is a certain jest in his voice, it's nothing short of the truth. Deo is giddy at the prospect, a rather normal response when a good plan comes together. "Don't let Ni see that collar, he's quite sensitive at the moment. I believe I insulted him at some point," he waves it off as though it's nothing but normality among the drow and all those within the court. "A deal is a deal," the one curt nod he offers is the final word spoken before he reaches out, with shadow magic, drawing open a door, and unleashing several demogorgon into the fighting ring.

"Of their fallen ruler or Hyrsam?" Nidhoggr understood what Deo had implied but the dracaenae could also recognize how many of the drow were perturbed and menacingly rueful at what the archsatyr had put them through. As Queensguard, Ni had to look ahead and he could only hope, in all their arrogance and truculence, that the other advisors of the Queen would follow suit. The aspect's only disadvantage amongst the drow was that they tended to separate him from their kind; though he was not of their blood nor strife, he had been alongside Ayi'ig since the beginning, since the first of their kind were uplifted from the slain elves. "Don't talk as if I'm beneath you, I'm not one of your wretched beasts," his arms crossed and though it dripped with humor, there was that typical venom that dripped in, customary of anyone within drow society; kill or be killed, eat or be eaten.

"Take your pick. I've never said no to a beheading." And never would he - especially not those that would see to it that the heads of those that contended with them, would roll. "What ever was a good party without a little cannibalism to shake things up?" Although, shocking at first, Amadeus had found something of maniacal amusement as the truth of the archsatyr's illusions. The roll of his eyes is notable, he makes no move to hide it, just as he sighs, "Yes, yes, I cannot chain you nor force you to heel, Ayi'ig long ago ensured that I knew that you appreciated your boundaries." However different his power, it still left Amadeus with an itch to try. "I would like to point out that you are still, a rather wretched beast. Unlike the others, I do not see that as a flaw, so you can hold onto your pride a little longer, Ni."
