one thing about me is that i am bisexual
i don’t say this lightly but i think that filmmakers should have to sit for a comprehensive exam before adapting jane austen. why is elinor dashwood running around in fields with her hair down.
women deserve to be ugly. and by that i mean they should be allowed to have conventionally "unattractive" features and not be treated as lesser for it. women should be allowed to be fat and lanky and tall and short and have scars and physical differences and stretch marks and cellulite and acne and wrinkles and hair on their faces and arms and legs and armpits and maybe even be a little stinky and gross sometimes. and this should be normal
“Who yells?” Is unquestionably the best broad city line i think about it every time someone raises their voice even slightly
I think you are maybe not a good person to have children! Well, that’s not very nice to say, is it?

every time i say “distress tolerance” in a convo someone always corrects me like “you mean stress tolerance” no i DON’T!!! learn your dbt and then come back to me
some of you are perfectly fine people but you need to develop self esteem and distress tolerance so bad how are you ugly and having the worst day of your life every day
people sent me death threats for this one
eating disorders and abortions are two things that are like, spoken about in most mainstream discourse as though they are pretty rare and aberrant, but then when you’re actually friends with a lot of women you come to find out that they are extremely extremely common and kind of banal & mundane
It also genuinely really bothers me how so many people's "pro fat" posts are along the lines of "Yeah, fat is fine/good, eat whatever you want as much as you want!" Like yes that's a good sentiment and yes fear of fatness is what causes so many people to eat less than they otherwise would. I Understand This. But it's important to me that people understand. Someone being fat does not actually mean they eat more than a thin person does. Just because you're ostensibly defending or praising the fat body does not mean you aren't partaking in dangerous stereotyping
They should invent a glasses that you can lay on your side in bed wearing
Yumna Al-Arashi, Axis of Evil (Yemen, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq), 2020
in Leica Fotografie International (LFI) magazine:
"This photograph was made for my first European solo show in Berlin, in the gallery Anahita Contemporary. It's a self-portrait alongside Anahita Sadighi, Moshtari Hilal and Susu AbdulMajid. We are respectively from Yemen, Iran, Afghanistan and Iraq. Despite our different roots I noticed that we all share a similar background, having grown up in Western nations that often vilify the places our families are from. I also noticed the strong profiles of each of our faces. So I decided to create this portrait with the title Axis of Evil – a play on the term so frequently used to describe our home countries when we were growing up. It also embraces the beauty of our distinctive noses, which are often treated as ugly, something to be changed. I wanted to embrace these qualities of ours in this image, creating something powerful, defiant."
