Introduction to my page

On this page I will show the bits and parts of my craft and especially my learning throughout of it. I am an eclectic witch who is working with the Norse goddess Frigg. I will not show every bit of my craft, but I think this is a common practice in this community.

For anybody interested, I’m in my early twenties, I always had an interest in witchcraft, mythology and the occult. Even though I was raised with a basic Christian belief system and the holidays and stuff that comes with it my parents never forced me to believe, but they wanted me to know about the why’s we are celebrating these holidays. My mom also dabbled in the witchy waters but put it off eventually (she is still interested and occasionally participates in the things I do).

I am not only working with deities but I also incorporate herbs/plants, crystals, sigils, tarot and generally what the earth and my environment is providing me with in my craft.

I do NOT follow the rule of three! While I respect everybody that does so, please don’t come on my page and try to push it on other people! (This would result in me blocking you)

I do NOT condone cultural appropriation nor hate speech of any kind, this will also get you blocked! (If you see me doing something belonging to a closed practice on this blog, because I did not know better please let me know in a kind way so I can change and learn)

Shadow work

Personally I do not practice shadow work but I often see a very weird approach to it by people who do. Please note that even tho I don’t practice it I did research on the topic.

What I often see is people trying to get rid of their shadow through shadow work which is NOT / should NOT be the goal. Your goal with shadow work should be to acknowledge your shadow and how it operates so you can start to work WITH it instead of REACTING TO it. Your shadow self is like your shadow you throw when you’re in the sun, it exists as long as you do and you can’t outrun or get rid of it.

Please keep that in mind because I have seen people going crazy trying to ‘get rid’ of their shadow. Witchcraft and Spirituality are things like everything else, only good in a certain quantity.

Witchcraft on a budget

Because I am a student and therefore only have my monthly pocket money to get supplies I know how hard it can be / feel to get all the stuff you want for your craft. Especially when you have to, like I do, also pay bills like your phone or subscriptions. So I thought I would share my tips and tricks for witchcraft on a budget.

!!! Some actions might be not legal depending on your area please check your laws before doing some stuff discussed below !!!

1. I recommend to look for things you can take from nature for spells, wards, etc. Get to know your local plants and area!

2. NOT EVERY SPELL NEEDS TO COME IN A JAR! You can save a lot of money by not buying jars specially for spells. If you want to use jars try to reuse the jars that you would normally throw away, for example the jars some food comes in, just wash them out.

3. We all know that candles aren’t cheap, especially when you’re running through them like I do. Ask your friends and family if they have some to spare or wish for them on special occasions like birthdays etc.

Some shops sell candles with imperfections for a cheaper price. If they don’t they just throw them away, if their dumpster isn’t locked up many shops won’t bother if you take those out. In SOME countries this is completely legal, in others it’s not and you could face consequences please inform yourself beforehand

4. Incorporate witchcraft in your daily life, stir your morning coffee with intention, use the herbs your cooking with with intention to consume their magical properties, use the stuff you already have laying around, enchant your jewelry so they work as a ward

5. Use sites like z-Library to read all the witchy books your heart desires

6. Tools can be crafted! You want a pendulum? Do you have a ring (or any kind of weighted thing) and a necklace or string? There you go home made pendulum. Tarot cards can simply be cut out paper cards with the names written on them. Get creative!

7. Many crystals can be found outside like quartz, jasper, carnelian, etc. depending on where you life even more.

Please remember that you do NOT need every tool/herb/jar/etc under this sun (especially not the most high ended/ expensive ones) to be a witch! You should not define your craft by the things you buy for it and the amount of money you spend on them but rather on the energy you’re putting into it!
