My brain told me to draw Jamack experiencing both familiar and unfamiliar pain

Sad boi is how I imagine him denying the fact that he misses Harris and Kwat.

Exiled boi is a redraw from the show when he was about to start soul searching. (Its the part when his heart ripped in half.)

Kipo is a predator who acts more human than humans, imagining her doing the opposite is terrifying, so if Jamack decided to cross her in a wrong time, he would be a Dead boi.

Sadly, this sort of thing will never happen, but it has been an awfully stressful and disappointing week and I wanted to draw something wholesome.

kipo s3 was cowardly and here’s why

i just saw someone say “it’s good they didn’t cure the demutagen’d mutes in the finale because it shows they’re brave enough not to undo emotional moments” and i was going to reblog it but i didn’t want to be negative on op’s post. op if you’re reading this i respect you, but you deserve better than rad sechrist. rad sechrist does not understand us.

kipo s3 criticism ahead!

tl;dr: kipo s1 and s2 espouse themes of compassion and equality for all sentient creatures, but season 3 fails to treat the ego death of mutes with the same gravity as the ego death of humans – nor is a comparable effort made to restore mutes to their former states. this demonstrates that on a narrative level, the writers do not consider the good of mutekind to be as important as the good of humankind, which is fundamentally a betrayal of the themes established in s1 and s2.

THIS is such an eloquent breakdown of why season three hit all the wrong notes here, i can see why some people migth have seen it, cried and accepted that the message might be “bad things happen and don’t always have a solution”, which is a perfectly acceptable message for a showrunner to want to put forward, but it doesn’t fucking work for Kipo because like you say, SCARLEMAGNE. IS RIGHT THERE. THE WHOLE FUCKING TIME. He existance undermines that entire message, which now becomes “if your mute friends get turned into animals - eh. fuck ‘em.” 

This was such a glaring problem that while watching Season 3, Fruitytrollroll and I were literally shouting about it over voice call during the final episodes. 

And then there was the MARGOT thing

and while we’re airing grievances i have no idea why Jamack would become a megabunny bus driver, what about his character suggests that his ultimate happy-ending life goal is to provide a free public service for no apparent benefit to himself IDK MAN 

I would have been happy to wait longer for season three if they just wanted to spend some time working out what they wanted to say with it, because season 1 was such a strong start it was really disappointing to see it all get so flimsy at the end
