finally finished my ref for my homestuck oc!! shes an adopt i got from @themisfitsedge /mycrimsondahlia that i ended up redesigning ( her og design made by them is under the cut )

#shes part of a mspfa idea im still heavily workshopping #but the general idea is a group of trolls end up on earth #either for recon ( if i go with this then some trolls already exist on earth )#or they just crash on earth ( trolls might still exist on earth with this option too )#its no sburb ( techically its no sburb session bc the dancestor session and the ancestor stuff happen )#but the codensce ends up being overthroned by her heiress ( either trizza or some other fuschia heiress )#and sburb gets discontinued/cancelled or heavily delayed #idk still figuring shit out #ik it takes place in the timespan of 2019-2024ish #maybe 2019-2025?#ok im done rambling #homestuck #homestuck oc

im not touching the june/john discourse with a 10 ft pole but i will say this: its a bit odd most ppl aren't as hard to bat for tmasc roxy compared to june egbert

albeit it was originally gonna be like revival stuff but i like the the bonus prize idea alot i think i'll steal it if thats ok w you

#also the dead trolls get aged up to the ages everyone else is #which opens a lot of fun body horror esque ideas #like imagine waking up from your death and now you're the human equivalent of 3 years older #alongside the fact they have complications from their deaths #feferi eridan tavros and equius have scars or markings from how they died ( equius also has chronic pain in his knee that got shot at )#nepeta is a slightly more complex case bc she doesnt really have external markings #but she deals with chronic pain and migraines from her cause of death ( blunt force trauma )#she possibly has a TBI too #also its fun in the drama department bc feferi doesnt forgive eridan #equius and nepeta have differing opinions on gamzee which causes their relationship to strain #and tavros is dealing with his feelings on vriska #( he feels bad that hes kinda happy shes most likely dead )#on the dancestor end its gonna be a 50/50 gamble on if i wanna revive them or nah #sorry for rambling in ur tags btw

Fun Homestuck headcanon: What if all trolls have the ability to live to a century or two but lowbloods are systematically malnourished, overworked, sent into the line of battle, killed on whims, and plugged into computers, significantly altering the lifespan statistics that are taught to young trolls, and resulting in the A2 trolls thinking that anyone from green on downward would naturally have extremely short lifespans? Like I’m not arguing that everyone can live as long as the Condesce or that the Summoner could live as long as the GHB even if they had similar access to medical care, but I’m seriously questioning the whole “lowbloods die super quickly” idea that’s been taken for granted in a lot of fandom

#oooh this is very interesting #granted beforus kinda throws a wrench in this but i wanna assume lowbloods had longer lifespans on beforus compared to alternia #like 50-70 sweeps compared to the few dozen sweeps in alternia #i should touch on this for my story im working on that i might try to make a mspfa #since the main plot is every few sweeps trolls are sent to earth for recon and some of them end up staying on earth #in the group of trolls im writing abt in the story one of them is a rustblood who falls in love with a human #and ends up staying on earth #but shes worried shes gonna end up dying before her partner #cosmic chatz
