Maybe the only thing each of us can see is our own shadow. Carl Jung called this his shadow work. He said we never see others. Instead we see only aspects of ourselves that fall over them. Shadows. Projections. Our associations. The same way old painters would sit in a tiny dark room and trace the image of what stood outside a tiny window, in the bright sunlight. The camera obscura. Not the exact image, but everything reversed or upside down.
Chuck Palahniuk
To crave and to have are as like as a thing and its shadow. For when does a berry break upon the tongue as sweetly as when one longs to taste it, and when is the taste refracted into so many hues and savors of ripeness and earth, and when do our senses know any thing so utterly as when we lack it? And here again is a foreshadowing -- the world will be made whole. For to wish for a hand on one's hair is all but to feel it.

Staying true to your word!!
I’ve realized that so many people SAY they are going to do something but never do. It’s become a nasty habit of society. I never get excited anymore over promises. It’s more like “i’ll be excited/happy/relieved/grateful/etc when I actually see it”. Once someone breaks a first promise or doesn’t deliver on a commitment, I begin to lose faith and trust.I think that’s because when someone used to promise me something, I would get this false sense of safety. I only say false because most promises or commitments were broken. It’s like a moment of “wow I really can’t wait for that, i’m so excited. Oh? Your actually not going to act on what you said? Ok. Minus one trust point”, and then it eventually became a case of “don’t even promise or say your going to do something, just prove it by actually doing it”.
I don’t think most people do this on purpose, in fact most of their intentions are really good, but can’t people just be more mindful before verbally committing to something? Maybe because I tend to keep my word and not promise more than I can deliver, I just think others would do the same. Maybe I expect too much, and i’m more than willing to work on that, but still, wouldn’t it be easier if everyone just kept their word? Like what about that is actually so hard? If you don’t intend to follow through, don’t say something. Or if something genuinely changes, let someone know, and if you tend to forget, find a way to remind yourself if the person (family member/friend/colleague/partner) is important enough to you, because believe me, broken promises or failure to follow through actually hurts people deeply. Whats worse is you never want to say to someone “You promised/committed/offered your energy and time to (whatever), and you haven’t done it”, because you don’t want to, nor should you have to ask people to be loyal to what comes out of their own mouths.
Honesty, trust, loyalty = everything. I’m kind of over seeing these beautiful, valuable and appreciated traits misused or neglected completely. Maybe everyone should ask themselves more often “what have I promised or said I would do recently that I may have forgotten about?”. Chances are we’ve all at some point forgotten our own words, and the impact a simple memory could have on another’s life is tremendous.

Only when you love yourself will you learn what it is you deserve. The energy you give others will then be out of desire, instead of necessity.

There is an Indian proverb that says that everyone is a house with four rooms, a physical, a mental, an emotional, and a spiritual . Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time but unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person

Anything which has to be attained is not the Reality, not the truth. We are already the Reality, the truth. There is nothing to get really. It is here now.

Most humans find it extremely difficult to believe that they can manifest their desires into their realities. This lack of belief is what causes many internal blockages, preventing people from manifesting their hopes and dreams. This lack of understanding also means we attract many things we don’t want into our lives. Successful manifestation that originates from a pure heart and …

Have you ever thought about what happens to animals when their species becomes extinct? Maybe they don’t just “die”, maybe they transcend this three dimensional existence that we perceive, and begin a completely new journey in a new dimension or completely parallel universe. Maybe they just reached the end of their evolutionary journey on earth. Like maybe there is some sort of dodo bird aliens floating around somewhere now. Yet we perceive them as “dumb”. Maybe that way of thinking is just fear based. It’s easier to think a bird must be dumb for going instinct, than it is to think we were outsmarted by the bird who knew it’s existence here had collected enough experience to transcend physicality. How “human” of us to think so small. How human, yet how beautifully ignorant and simple.
