new DIYs!

Been thrifting a lot lately, and I’ve got some rad stuff in the pipelines.

DIY #1: this absolutely hideous makeup caddy. It was in pretty rough shape when I bought it, i honestly wish i had thought to take pics before I washed and cleaned it. The outside is getting a new paint job. The metal bits have some rust, so I plan on WD-40ing and scrubbing with a wire brush. I’m still thinking about a paint scheme, but I think I’m going to go with a hot pink+teal combo. maybe incorporate a pattern, we’ll see.

DIY #2: these super cool stompers that need some TLC and a bit of ✨artistic flair✨. These have been washed and dried (after this pic), and that alone made such a huge difference. They’re going to get cleaned up more and tended to, all the little loose threads clipped, some spots that are peeling are gonna get glued, and I’m peeling off and replacing the rhinestones. preferably with something bigger and much more ✨✨sporkle✨✨ I think I also want to do something fun with the zipper pulls on the back. Not sure what, though.

I’m also pulling the commercial embroidery out of a shirt, but I forgot to take before pictures so right now it just looks like a shirt with most of the embroidery pulled out. I’m thinking about hand embroidering something cool on the shoulders.

i also caved and made emails and social media presences for my art work bc both my husbeast and my housemate think i could make a go of it commercially
