Not sure if this will appear in the tags, but we’ll give it a try:

Hi all, Jay here (he/him cishet), 25+ and EST time zone and I’m a long-time writer & roleplayer looking for a new partner or two for either Tumblr or preferably Discord threads. I have a few requirements, though. I hate to sound picky, but these are my preferences as lately it has been hit or miss and I feel awful cancelling or stopping threads that I assume my partner is enjoying.

Firstly, looking for partners who can write a minimum of (1) five to eight sentence paragraph with readable grammar and spelling. It doesn’t have to be perfect but understandable. This is just a minimum as I can contribute more than one paragraph per reply depending on my partner, the plot, and the current scene. My preferred length is two to four paragraphs.

I would like it if my partner uses real-life face claims, but I am not opposed to any other sources. Additionally, I tend to lean towards writing dominant male face claims and am searching for someone who enjoys writing opposing female roles, though they do not have to be submissive and this can be discussed further.

Genres I dabble in vary from realistic slice-of-life to outrageous fantasy and extreme sci-fi, there’s no genre I won’t write in as long as it’s an enjoyable plot. This includes pre-established fandoms, as I don’t mind writing either as canon characters or as OCs set in those universes. I enjoy Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, anime & more. 

Finally, smut is preferred and highly encouraged so potential partners must be 18+ and interested in those themes as well. I am flexible in this regard too, as I have my fair share of things I enjoy and few hard limits.

Hello all:

So, I disappeared from tumblr again - this time due to a really bad back injury that prevented me from writing for a while! I apologize to anyone I had things with, it was an obstacle getting up every day so I wasn't able to inform anyone. As of this post, I will be moving towards a discord-only preference and will only be using tumblr for aesthetics, communication, and plotting/finding new partners. (Refer to this post for more information on mun's style & preferences.)

Morgana waited patiently for him to show her his work. She enjoyed holding a conversation with him, be it about their shared love of weapons or for her to share gossip from the castle while hearing what happened in the town from him.

She excused herself for a moment when he went to talk to his apprentices. She had to exchange a few words with her maidservant. She let the other woman know to wait for her at the nearby tavern, where she would join her once her business was settled with the master. Upon returning to his shop she noted that he sent the others home, it was just the two of them.

The dark-haired woman couldn’t help but wonder if he desired more than pleasant words to be passed between them, if he thought about holding her hand, of kissing her like she had thought of him. If only their situation was different, perhaps then if he willed it too they could be more than an unlikely pair of friends.

Morgana’s eyes were glued to the well-crafted daggers, as much as she wanted a simpler blade her attention kept getting drawn to the more complicated ones’. She lovingly brushed her fingertips over the flat side of the blades and their hilts. Rowan’s presence so close to her spooked her and she managed to nick her fingertip with one of the blades.

“I am thinking that you shouldn’t sneak upon me like this.” She chided him as she looked down at the tiny cut on her slender finger. “As for the daggers, they are all a work of excellence. I like the hilt of this one.” She pointed it out to Rowan. “And as for the length of the blade I prefer this.” Morgana motioned to the one that she ended up hurting herself with.

Though his apprentices were intrigued by the noblewoman’s presence in his smithy, wondering if she had ordered something that he would need help with, he dismissed them before they could ask any more questions. They were good kids but had a habit of being nosy, always eager to see if their mentor was finally going to be lucky enough to end up with someone who will make him happy. He knew it was inappropriate for him to think of Morgana as more than a friend and customer, especially not knowing if she was already engaged to some lord or another, but that wasn’t going to stop him from dwelling in her company and appreciating the conversations that they had.

He watched again as Morgana traversed through his inventory, searching for something that suited her. He took careful note when she pointed out that she liked the hilt of one dagger and the length of another one, though he frowned when he saw that she had cut herself. He did not hesitate to cut a piece of cloth away from his apron and reached for her hand, wrapping it around her finger to hold the bleeding though it was not deep enough to cause her too much trouble, thankfully. “Apologies, miss,” he replied when she chided him for approaching her from the rear, applying a little more pressure to her cut finger. “Thank you for your compliments. I can make you one with those exact characteristics, then.” He unraveled her finger and inspected it to make sure that she was not bleeding anymore, though his piercing blue hues stared into her own shortly after in quiet admiration of her soft and lovely features. He was no stranger to a woman’s touch but it had been a while for him, and he knew she was far beyond his standing but there was an unmistakable chemistry between them.

Morgana couldn’t help herself from letting out a small chuckle at how enthusiastic he looked at her request, had she known that this would be his reaction then she would have asked him sooner. She ducked her head at the compliment of her beauty and only lifted her head after he was finished with speaking, her green eyes locked on his own as a smirk adorned her features. “You not only forge weapons well but your words too.” she complimented Rowan in kind.

“I would like to see what you have finished when your time allows you to show me.” The noblewoman made it clear that she didn’t want an apprentice of his to show her his work, she would have him and nobody else. After the hours they have spent talking to one another they had an understanding, there was trust between them. Besides, if she wanted to have another direct her to the daggers made then she would have asked already.

Rowan noticed her reaction when he complimented her and grinned in turn, glad that he could bring some semblance of joy to the noblewoman’s lovely face. There was no mistaking that there was something pleasant between them even if they could not act on their urges and impulses. She complimented his manner of speaking and he offered her a little humble bow of his head. “The words come easy when they’re for someone like you,” he teased before listening to her follow-up request. She wanted him to show her his wares himself, not one of his apprentices. He nodded and they chatted for a little while longer but once he realized that the sun was setting, he sent his apprentices home and then pulled out his collection of daggers from his inventory so that Morgana could look through them herself and pick out what she liked. He made sure to close up his shop so that they would not be interrupted, walking back over to her when he had done so. “So, what are you thinking, milady?” he inquired as he glanced down at her curiously, wondering what she would want a dagger for but not questioning her intentions out loud.

Sam made a quick mental note to hit send on that email but was thoroughly distracted from all things work when he actually called it a date. A real date. Yes, she had assumed but didn’t dream that they’d officially call it that. It made everything so much more real. All the flirty remarks, the brushes against each other in conference rooms - appearing innocent though they’d been anything but. He pulled her closely against him as he wondered about secrets and Sam couldn’t help but nod at his question. Patience had never been a virtue of hers. “It’s been torture,” she admitted quietly, her words needy and filled with a growing temptation. In his office, they were safe. No one could see them and for a second Sam really wished she’d locked the door after walking in but she didn’t want to be presumptuous, the very idea that anything could happen right now still felt presumptuous even with his arm around her waist, their bodies pressed together. It was now or never. In an instant, Sam leaned forward to close that minimal distance and press her lips against his - finally, finally, seeing what it was like.

Being this close to Sam made Ivan throw all his thoughts out of the window too, focused solely on her presence and the warmth of her body next to him. Though it was a risk doing and thinking of these inappropriate things with someone who technically worked for him, it was clear that neither of them were thinking about the consequences. She closed the distance between them before he could do it first and he felt her soft lips pressed against his, kissing him for the first time. His strong arms wrapped around her and he held her close to his chest as he returned the gesture, savoring how soft she felt and how good she tasted. He had fantasized about taking her in his arms like this since he first realized he was attracted to her and now it was becoming a reality. He could not help the way his firm grip reached for her hips and he was lifting her up for a moment so he could place her back down on top of his desk. He forced her legs to part around his waist so she could grind against him. “Mhm, you’re right. I’ve been dying to kiss and feel you like this,” he agreed before he was going right back to kissing her again, encouraging her to rock against the growing outline of his thick cock on his dark slacks.

She let out a soft laugh at the thought of the man in combat, it was a ridiculous thought. “A pity that such a beauty will be wasted on him.” She sighed softly as she admired the weapon in the making. “It may be one of your finest works yet.” Morgana added with a smile.

“Do you have room for a new commision?” The dark-haired woman asked, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she looked at the blond man. “I was thinking about something simple, a dagger to be more precise. Could you make one for me?” She asked as she looked round the shop and all that he was already finished with. “Or is there one I can buy?” Morgana’s gaze flickered to his.

It impressed Rowan that Morgana understood and appreciated swords and blades more than any other woman he had ever met. They had spent hours discussing the topic during their last couple of encounters and he found her to be the most pleasant company he had in a while. He beamed proudly when she complimented the blade and said that it was one of his finest works. She sure knew how to make him feel recognized and he would have been lying if he said that it didn’t make the woman more attractive to him then she already was. She asked if he had room for another commission and he nodded enthusiastically: if it was for her, he was more than willing to put everything else aside. “I would be honored to forge you a dagger, Milady. I do have some laying around but someone of your status and beauty deserves a personalized blade, don’t you think?” he inquired as he gazed down at her in turn, savoring the way she kept all of her attention on him.

Sam didn’t want to read into it too much, his word choice in saying she was important to him, but it was hard not to considering the looks they exchanged, the teasing nature of their relationship. Plus, there was the undeniable fact that she wanted it to mean more. “I have an email typed out for the digital team, we’ll need them to reach back out to the partner to see what happened there,” Sam didn’t moved an inch as Ivan stood up and stepped in closer to her, practically whispering in her ear about dinner. She could have jumped for joy but, of course, she held back. Turning her head just slightly, the woman couldn’t help but noticed just how close he was now, their noses threatening to brush if either of them slightly moved. “I can do that. I won’t tell a soul.” The secret would die with her if it had to just to have a single night with him.

Ivan knew that she was probably being cautious around him despite all the heavy flirting that they did on a regular basis. She was intelligent and likely did not want to risk her career, so he would have to ensure that her career was completely safe even with the feelings they were developing for each other. He nodded when she mentioned that she was already taking care of the problem that she pointed out. He loved that she always thought ahead and was fully prepared to deal with any situation that came up. “That’s a good idea. Go ahead and send that,” he authorized but then he was distracted by the way she did not move or flinch away from him when he proposed the idea of dinner to her. “Good, then it’s a date. I wonder what other secrets you’d be good at keeping?” he muttered faintly against her lips, one hand reaching over to grab her by the waist and pull her closer to his muscular frame. “I think we’ve both been running out of patience here, don’t you?” he inquired with a raised brow, so tempted to just go ahead and kiss her for the first time.

Morgana nodded at his words. She had no doubt that the sword requested by the Lord would be more fit to hang on a wall in a collection than to be used in battle, which was its intended purpose. “Thank you,” she nodded her head and let him be on his way. She didn’t want him to get into trouble because she held him up.

She quirked a brow at the Master’s teasing words, her green eyes twinkled playfully as she walked closer. She enjoyed learning about the work done here almost as much as the results borne of the hard work. “I would never do something that would hinder your work. Especially, when it is for such a peacock. It is not an easy comission I’d imagine knowing Lord Maxwell. ” She teasingly responded. It was freeing that she got to talk to Rowan so freely.

Rowan watched as the noble lady approached him – it was as if she had been getting closer to him with every visit. While he did not have any complaints about that, he did wonder if there was something more that she wanted than just conversation. But whenever the thought of attempting to seduce her came to mind, he was quick to brush it off. She enjoyed talking to him and that was all. There was no way a lady of her status would have any interest in being with a commoner like him in that manner. He grinned when she insisted that she would never hinder his work. She was the only woman he knew that appreciated it on such a fine level. “Oh, I don’t doubt you’re fully aware of Lord Maxwell’s lack of ability for combat. But it is a nice sword, don’t you think?” he asked her for her opinion as he showed her the blade from a distance, giving her the chance to state her criticisms, if any.

Morgana walked through the town like she always did whenever there was a market in place. She looked at what was offered, a smile settled on her face as she picked out materials for new dresses to be made. She handed them over to her maid when her gaze flickered over to the blacksmith’s workshop.

She noted that there were two new faces running in and out of the shop. The dark-haired woman told her maid to wait for her by the nearest stall because she had some business to take care of.

Morgana walked inside nodding to the young man who passed by her. “Whose commision are you working on?” She spoke up making her presence known as she watched him work from a safe distance.

The younger man stopped in his tracks when he was confronted by the noblewoman. He knew better than to ignore her question, so he immediately answered her. “Master Rowan is working on a sword for Lord Maxwell, I believe, Milady,” he said before glancing behind him to notice he was being rushed by the other apprentice. “Apologies, I have to get back to work,” he said with a bow of his head before he went to the back of the shop swiftly.

Rowan looked up from his workstation and turned around to glance at the entrance. His smile softened and he grabbed a piece of fabric to wipe his forehead. He knew he probably looked like a mess with dirt smudged on his cheek and beads of sweat on his brow but luckily, Morgana never seemed to mind. She had only come by once or twice before, but they always had pleasant conversations. She was the first woman he had ever met with an interest in his work and the weapons that he crafted. “Bothering my new apprentice, Milady?” he teased her with a small grin.

A Passion Forged in Flame

Coming from a low-born marriage, Rowan never expected to have much interaction with the upper class throughout his life. Even during his apprenticeship as a teenager, he did not brush shoulders with the elite. His mentor was responsible for most of those interactions and Rowan kept to himself like the humble and quite person that he was. Eventually, he took over his mentor’s shop and that’s when he had to find it in himself to be more social as he handled orders for soldiers and requests from royalty on a regular basis. Lately, there seemed to be the threat of war on the horizon, so he had been working extra hard and had to hire an additional apprentice to keep up with the demand. As the two young men worked and ran back and forth in and out the shop, he was toiling away in front of the furnace working on a particularly special sword: a custom order for a local lord that he would probably carry into battle but not use at all. It was always the poor that died in battle and rarely the cowards riding on horseback all the way behind those troops. He hammered away at the iron; his deep blue hues intently focused on getting rid of the imperfections left behind from him forging the blade.

“I think technically I work for you,” Sam pointed out but she loved the idea of being his partner - it had a nice ring to it, in more ways than one. Looking up at him, her lips curved into a smile at his compliment, it was nice to be told things like that even more so when it came from Ivan. Walking around to the other side of his desk, Sam placed down a folder, flipping it open and leaning over to point out one particular data point that seemed off to her. “I feel like something was misreported here, maybe the tag wasn’t working on the site, it seems low - don’t you think?” Sam asked, turning her head slightly to the side to meet his gaze. Were they too close together? Maybe. But no one else was there to judge it or think anything of it and she wasn’t going to pass up an opportunity to be in his space. 

She pointed out that she worked for him and he laughed because she was right, she was underneath of him in terms of ranking and seniority. “Yes, but that just shows how important you are to me, don’t you think?” he teased back at her with another compliment. Though his gaze followed her when she came around to his side of the desk, he turned his attention to the paperwork that she placed in front of him. He arched a brow at her pointing out the mistake and considered it for a moment before speaking up again. “Wow, you’re right. I didn’t notice that before. We’ll have to follow up on that, don’t you think?” he responded as their eyes met again and his lips curved into his signature handsome grin. Her nearness did not bother him in the slightest; in fact, he would have preferred to have her closer. “I want to thank you for being so helpful, though. I was thinking maybe dinner tonight?” he offered, and he scooted closer to her, standing up from his chair so he could mutter closer to her ear. He was taking his chances, but they had something going that he wanted to explore further. “We’ll have to keep it a secret, though. You know the rules. Is that something you’re willing to do, Miss Morris?”
