Let’s talk about the AI accusations Forever Friendship has been receiving, shall we?

Nothing about it triggered any red flags for me, but there were instant knee-jerk ascertations from the moment the image leaked about it being AI. Some people even said it was obvious! That’s especially troubling to me, because no AI was used to create the image or the song. I understand the age of AI makes people feel like they can’t trust their own eyes, but it’s necessary to ACTUALLY give art a close look-over before you label it one way or another. Even before we had it officially confirmed, there were no tells of AI generation! Anything people pointed to was either an artistic decision or a result of a low-qualith JPEG, both of which are clear distinguishable flaws apart from AI generation. We can’t forget what imperfections in human-made art looks like, people.

Think how amazing this must have been for the real flesh and blood artist to pour his talent into this key art, to deliver us a new and magical iteration of ponies, only for people to overwhelmingly assume it isn’t even real. This kind of behavior is bound to DISCOURAGE real artists from doing what they do best! Generative AI should always be pointed out, but we should be SURE when we make these claims, and sure from a place of logic, not knee-jerk certainly!

I think the new key art is beautifully done. I’m also an honest fan of the new color streaks in the manes, and of course a return of my beloved G3 eye sparkles! I also think the hoof…shoes? they don’t look like fetlocks… either way, the hooves are so cute and I love the different shapes they take with each character!

They are subterranean entities that like the Gorons, love lava (and are resistant to it), ore mining (for trade instead of eating), music, and dancing. In fact, the orange one with the red bow is named Rosa, she is, and I am not kidding

Since nonponies get a different alicorn form from the typical wings and unicorn horn what would change about them? I know with bat ponies they get two horns but I am curious to know about the rest!

Dragons: Gain a second pair of wings, horns grow larger

Kirin: Gain wings of fire, horn becomes larger and grows branches

Changelings: Gain an extra pair of limbs and eyes (more arachnid than insectoid)

Yaks/Cows: Grow an additional set of horns and sprout small wings

Breezies: Gain extra pair of wings and antennae

Diamond Dogs: Teeth become tusks, arms/hands become wing-like

Cats: Grows two additional tails, all are three times the length of a normal tail

Griffon: Gain second pair of wings, feathers have metallic/gem-like sheen

Do you think spacesuit Tessa is still dabbling with the occult? How does she cope/de-stress and unwind now that she can't be a corpse botherer? (Both before and after she reunites with J)

two ways I think it can go-

1. where she doesn’t go near occult related things again. got the ever loving shit scared out of her with her little biomechanical eldritch god mishap from her earth years.

2. Is her trying to find a way to fight “fire with fire”. like yes, what will take down an eldritch being? something else of eldritch nature probably! Just based off the way she consistently makes risky ill advised moves, I lean towards this.

oh she’d still be a corpse botherer. I imagine there’s a lot of that on Copper 9- she will be looting those things! I very much see it along the lines of “you don’t need this anymore do you?”

In terms of unwinding though, I think just the entire aspect that she has this gargantuan amount of freedom compared to being chained up. While there’s obvious missions, she has the freedom of literal space travel- I’m sure exploring is the biggest plus to her.

And while shes on copper 9- she’d get a kick out of those drones. just C9 residents being their messy selves would do enough to fascinate her and have her over the moon.
