•It was already enough for Akura-Ou that he had to now adapt from being a literal demon king to nothing but a lowly human. With the newfound family that he had to learn how to deal with, to his new mortal life. However, what really put the cherry on the cake was when some woman popped up at his front door and started. . . kissing him!
•He soon learned that you were the lover of Kirihito, the boy’s body who he now possessed. This meant he had to play everything off - great, something else to make his life harder.
•It didn’t help that you would bring up a memory or something that your boyfriend *should* know, which left him at a loss for words and inwardly panicking on what to say and what not to say. *He couldn’t blow his cover.* He let himself slip once or twice but eventually, he manages to dodge such instances - or finesse it in a plausible way
•The constant affection you gave him is what reaalllyyy took some getting used to. As we all know Akura-Ou was a cold-hearted, mass-murderer who ruled over the world over yonder with an iron fist. He showed no mercy, no humanity, hell - Lord Ookuninushi shed tears of the birth of said creature. So one can only imagine how incredibly difficult it was for Akura-Ou to accept such love and adoration
•At first it made him sick to his stomach, to the point where he would purposefully try to avoid you. Yet, he quickly learnt that there was no escaping your love and he was trapped in your comforting embrace whether he liked it or not
•Kisses were something he literally had to read up on so that he didn’t look like a fool as he did the first time you had kissed him. In fact, he had to do research on human romance as a whole - specifically human women and their take on love. It was a sight for sore eyes, the demon lord now reading romance novels because they were suggested to him
•It took a long time but eventually, he learnt how to deal with it. He learnt your likes, your dislikes, your routine. Every little thing about you and at first, he couldn’t give a damn. But as time went on you slowly but surely became a part of his everyday life
•Soon, you became his little getaway whenever he needed a break from his endless attempts of getting his old body back. He found himself genuinely wanting to spend time with you. He grew accustomed to the dates you would set up and accepted your affection effortlessly. Even going as far as dealing some of his own affection. It started with hand-holding, then hugging, and finally kisses.
•No no no no, was he falling in love? No! There was no way that some mere mortal was romancing him!
•But, you were. And with every passing day, he was falling deeper and deeper in love with you. He wanted you by his side, he wanted to protect you. So much so that he had even started being a tad bit possessive over you
•Akura-Ou debated on telling you the truth numerous times - but stopped himself. He thought that you’d take off screaming the second you found out what he really was. So, he’d keep this human mask with you for as long as he possibly can
•Maybe after he gets his body back. . . he’ll find it in himself to confront you. Maybe then you would find out that you managed to get a ruthless demon to fall in love with you
