Hello there! Just wanted to stop by and say one, I love your cosplays (especially your Peggy, you look fabulous!) and two, are you going to Oz Comic Con because if so, are you going to the Sydney one? I'm going this year for the first time ever and I'll be cosplaying as Quicksilver from X-Men Days of Future Past! Anyway, love ya!
I will be at Oz Comic Con Sydney this year! I won’t be back in Australia in time to be at Sydnova but I will be there for Oz :DÂ
I wanted to show y'all why I'm so proud of my Peggy Carter cosplay... I have been working on it for 3 years and my blood, sweat, terrible sewing skills and tears have gone into this stupid, wonderful thing...Â
It started as a generic, shitty costumebox packet costume...Â
Now I have a proper jacket and proper SSR pins
Can’t wait to show you the whole updated look next Saturday!
I went to Priceline today because I wanted silver eyeshadow and to replace my favourite lipliner pencil... so naturally I walked out with two of that lipliner, a lipstick, a contouring palette and two dry shampoos...
Oh man...
Lipstick: ‘Cinnamon’ by SavvyÂ
Lipliner: ‘Currant’ by Savvy
Eyeshadow: ‘Silver Sky’ by Savvy
Contouring Palette: ‘AC on Tour’ by Australis
Dry Shampoo: ‘Sassy and daring wild’ and ‘coconut and exotic tropical’ by Batiste
Today I messed around with using my ends of my hair as fake bangs and decided to turn it into a beehive-esque look with some killer 50's makeup to go with it. I blame my Captain America pyjamas!
I went to a Bohemian themed party the other night and I had no idea what to wear in the least. Honestly, I was so out of my depth it was ridiculous. I had nothing to wear and no clue.
What is one to do when they are the least boho girl ever?Â
Trust Pinterest of course!Â
I thought to myself that if I couldn't think of anything cute and legitimately alternative/boho-chic that I could go ultimate white girl basic boho. So I did my best.Â
I reasoned that if my outfit was going to be sub-par I'd go all out and try some cool boho make-up. I don't own any of those metallic temporary tattoos so I made some shapes on my face with a white eyeliner pencil and covered that with gold glitter. It actually worked out pretty well.
I used lots of browns and golds as well as a little bit of dusty pink to do my eyes. I also lined the top waterline and half of the bottom one, rubbing them to smudge them slightly and make them less of a complete line.Â
In the first photo (of just my make-up) I wasn't wearing my lipstick yet, but I wore Babette by Lime Crime to finish off my look.
Tossing on every gold, bronze or turquoise embellished bracelet I owned, a few necklaces and most of my silver ring collection (including a mood ring for ultra-boho reasons) I felt like I'd managed to accessorise pretty well... but I added a green feather earring in case!
With my white off-the-shoulder dress and middle part (with obligatory random braid through my hair) all I had left to organise was shoes.Â
Here's the real kicker, I ended up wearing some killer tan coloured wedged boots (see the last photo!) and they were perfect, so good for topping off the rest of my look. Then I leant down to talk to someone at the party about an hour in and was very glad I packed a pair of black ballet flats in my bag because the wedge completely snapped off the base of the boot!Â
Anyway, I thought I did okay for such a last minute look. What do you think?Â
I may have been disorganised but I never back down on a costume party theme.Â
I hope I didn't bore too many people with this post. Let me know!
Haven't had much time to do.. anything recently because of exams and end of year things but from tomorrow afternoon I am free as a bird for like three months so expect great things!
As always, suggestions, comments or anything of the like are always welcome here!Â
Here's a picture of my first attempt at deer makeup. It was just a bit of fun because I was bored this afternoon, however... someone informed me that you can buy little clip in Reindeer antlers from Daiso and I plan to do so and do this makeup again so I shall film that when I get the chance.Â
Uni has been kicking my butt recently so I apologise that I have barely posted any actual tutorials. I'll do a bruise one like the Robin makeup and hopefully finally get that Mary Poppins tutorial up very soon.Â
