Utah! now I am always thinking about how or when i can get back to Utah, i could wander that desert forever.  I showed Sadie some of my favorite places and now I think she fell in love with it as much as I did.

Negro Bill canyon, its close to Moab and it is unreal, I kept expecting to see Mario jump out and kick a goomba.  The trail ends where the flowing creek begins, at a long crack in the rock wall, underneath a 200′ natural bridge.

Fishers towers is one of my absolute favourite places.  I’ve been back on three different roadtrips, and will be back on many more.  It is a quick and gorgeous drive on the 128 from Moab, Utah.  You can explore endlessly, climb, and hike everywhere.  The colorado river is just on the other side of Professor Valley, and there are lots of good, cheap campgrounds, (Hal Canyon has an awesome rope swing over the river!) or you can camp right at the towers.  I cant wait to go back when i have time to spent a couple weeks exploring the whole place and really soak it in. :)

PSA: Always take your rifle suppressors off before they cool down and thoroughly clean your muzzle device after every trip. Otherwise your suppressor will weld itself to the muzzle device and you’ll have a bad day.

Had to have my smith punch my brake out of my suppressor when they both came off my rifle and now the brake is trashed. I’ll be replacing it with a Warcomp and shooting my Mk18 unsuppressed more often. SBR’s and suppressors are cool but they don’t play nicely together all the time.

That is the one problem I have seen with Surefire cans. You can shoot it off if need be but if you use ball ammo there is a chance of a baffle strike. An alternative is to use blanks but it will probably take a couple to get it off. Watching $1K of suppressor fly off the end of you carbine is not a fun sight but it can save you a trip to the Gunsmith.
