I will always be a sucker for this dessert, and Scream Tail was the perfect candidate (especially with that alliteration)! Her face is made with chocolate candy melts.
"Here. I- I found this spot when I was out looking for the different pidove." Charis swore that the crunching of their boots in the snow drowned out her voice. While the music of the village still drifted in the air, it was soft, a background that demanded nothing above the stillness.
"I found a minior out here! It was really neat. The sweetie must have been separated from its cluster early. A-and one of my cousins, you know, the one in Fuschia? She actually has a collection of minior." The nurse's voice rose in volume.
"That's really neat. Does she have all of the colors?"
Valerie's sincere question made Charis' cheeks hurt from smiling more. She actually listened! Well, she always does and asks questions too. "Not yet. She told me that even the shiny black ones are different colors. That black-pink one I found was one of the ones she doesn't have yet." Charis looked up at the sky. "The news didn't say anything about if minior would accompany this shower, but if any were, this would be the best place to spot them."
As she surveyed the area, Valerie turned to face the direction Charis was looking. "You said to the north, right?"
"Mmhm!" Oh, she wished she brought gloves. This was supposed to be a quick trip. But there still wasn't a sign of the falling stars just yet.
"Then... this way!" Valerie pointed to her left. "Look!"
A small gasp came from Charis. Just as the ranger had pointed out, a shooting star streaked across the sky. It was faster than a blink. "Wow."
"What a view," Valerie commented. She then looked down at Charis' hands. The nurse was rubbing them to keep warm. Valerie grasped each hand in hers. "You've got to be cold."
"I- uh..." Charis looked down. "I forgot my gloves. I got my scarf this time!"
Valerie's thumbs rubbed the back of Charis' hands, warming them a little. "Hold on." She let go to fish in her bag. "Good thing we wear the same size, I have a spare."
It was hard to see them in the dark. All Charis could tell was that they were extra fuzzy, like the kind she liked. She slipped them on, then rubbed her hands together. "Thank you." She almost let out a squeak when Valerie grabbed her hand again.
A gift is left for Charis, neatly wrapped and covered in cute Wooper stickers, both Paldean and Johtoan. Inside was an animatronic Jigglypuff that sings and dances. It was store bought, but there was an additional gift. This gift seems more for the Jigglypuff. It's a cute little hat... Oh, it's a pack of 12! The hats might actually fit on regular Jigglypuffs!

These are so cute! She tries to save as many of the stickers as she can possibly peel off. Ah, is that one shiny! Shiny Johtonian Woops are her favorite Woops! So, so cute! Okay, whoever sent this knew her. Cute stickers and a Jigglypuff (and not another Chansey) is definitely for her.
And the adorable- THERE WERE TWELVE. Twelve hats! "Mr. Wiggles, Thing! Come heeeeereee!" Oh they fit Mr. Wiggles just fine! He is the best boy in them! And iiiit... fits Thing too! Phew! Perfect. She can't be leaving Thing out of things just because it looks different. She has to adjust the hat a bit to look right on Thing's fluff.
"The both of you are so adorable! Let's go find our sender to say thank you!"
But whom should they thank? Has to be a Maverick, Bratney was talking about them and V was one now. If they were her Secret Santa, they'd ask Brat or V for ideas like this.
"OMIGOSH it's Elesa!" No, Charis can't tell it's a performer. She digs through her bag to get out her autograph book, turning it to the page she saved just for the Unovan gym leaders.
"Please, can I have your autograph? I'm a really, really big fan!"
But there light posts all look the saaaame! Guess that's what makes the special one special. V was checking by the Hoenn display, but hadn't said anything since. Huh. Well, better start checking by the Kangaroo displays!
Charis stopped to take a photo of the Mt. Moon display. It would be so cute if Mew actually was hiding there. There was a tug on her leggings.
Down there was a delibird, holding a box.
Oh no. Charis knows there's a big chance that whatever is in that box is explosive. Delibird are notorious pranksters.
"H-hey little guy. What do you have there?" Charis let out a squeak as the flying type dropped the box. "Wait, let's not be hasty-" and it was gone. Oh no. Oooooh nooooo.
She nudged it with her foot. It didn't make the tell tale wiggle "those" presents had. Maybe it was a real present! That meant that it wasn't bad, it was in the spirit of giving!
Charis let out a huge sigh of relief before taking a photo of the box and texting her sister.

The cloud of black dust that erupted after the lid was removed made Charis cough. She screamed. It was a lump of coal!
Eyeing all of those Cubchoo cabins. V sent her photos of her cabin and it was sooooo cute! But Charis couldn't say no to her cousin offering a place to stay.
Charis' little sister is one of the most notorious members of the Joy family. However, most people don't realize that she's even a Joy. That is, until she gets into a spat with Charis:
"It shouldn't matter how you were born. We all love Porygon, Rotom, Klink, Castform, Voltorb, and Magnemite here." Yes, she was counting on her fingers to make sure she didn't miss any of them.
"And please don't make rumors that Joys are clones of each other. That's weird."
The bounty of your heart is abundant. Warmth extends from your fingertips, and your smile has the power to light the darkest of rooms. Your presence is a comfort– a gift– it is something to be cherished. Just beware of stretching yourself too thin; a heart cannot be full if it is constantly emptying itself for the benefit of others. Extend that mercy to your own heart, so you may continue to love and let yourself be loved. Your chest is not an empty cavity.
