Hi! I was wondering if you had any advice for feeling insecure about regression? It’s really been a struggle for me and I’ve known about my regression for a few years now, but I hardly ever regress anymore because I just get too insecure over it. It’s like a subconscious block and I don’t know how to let go of it if that makes any sense. I have no idea how to get past it because I don’t have anyone to discuss it with. Any advice or reassurance is so appreciated thank you 🥺 it’s been such a struggle for too long now

I absolutely do lovey! It means so much to me that you came for advice and are recognizing that sometimes we need a bit of help ♡

The first thing I want to say is to make it clear that that is okay, we all struggle with our regression at times! Insecurity, inability, it all happens and that is perfectly alright. It'll still always be a part of who you are so don't worry! It's right there waiting for when you can go back to it (/≧◡≦)/

And here's some ideas for what you can do !! I've personally used these when struggling, and they're very helpful,,

🍨 Connecting with your inner child first! to regress, you need to be in tune with that childlike state of mind. try watching some kids shows while big, playing games you did as a child, and eating "kid" food!

🌸 Making a comfortable place for yourself! no matter if this is simply a nest of blankets, putting things over mirrors, or etc. A place where you can forget about being grown up helps loads

🍨 Don't ever ever forget that you don't have to go all the way in at the start. Simply letting yourself let go and be in a calm state of mind will still do wonders, take it slowly and remember that regression is so different for everyone <3

i think i may agere and petre.. but i struggle not to feel embarrassed or self-conscious about it;-; i know i cant help it, and it really helps me cope, but im afraid of my partner/maybe close friends not understanding. it feels like theres such a stigma.. idk

do you have any advice for feeling more confident??^.^

Hi there lovey! I do indeed have advice for this ♡ Alright, so first thing's first! There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, many many people regress and letting out your inner child is a really great thing to do!

So, what can you do to feel more confident in it? Well what I recommend is regressing on your own for a while first! Do things like find the shows/cartoons that small you likes, try out different activities and games, and most importantly figure out your preferences. Every little one is different, and being what makes you feel comfy while small is the most important thing to gain confidence! Once you're able to do it on your own and understand your needs, you'll be able to start explaining it to others \(^ヮ^)/

As for your friends and partner, don't stress! Take it slowly and simply. There isn't anything pushing you to tell them until you're comfortable with it yourself! And when you finally want to you can bring it up as a question; "hey, do you know what age regression is?" or something like that,, then you can find out their opinion on it before telling them about yours! As long as they're accepting and understand what it is you should have no problem introducing them to your own littlespace ♡(>ᴗ•)

hi! m very new to agere and i’ve voluntarily regressed a few times, at first on my own and then under the supervision of my close friend who offered to care for me if i would like.

when i’m regressed i call him “dada” but he never refers to himself by the same title, usually opts to refer to himself as “daddy”. he also will use the pet name “baby” for me in this headspace. i’m unsure how to communicate to him that these things make me uncomfortable and that i really prefer being called kiddo :(

So, this can be a fragile topic but the very most important thing is communication as you know (*´▽`*)/ What I personally would do is take some time and explain that while others may like those titles, you prefer different ones! "Daddy" and "baby" can be very uncomfortable terms for some people, and that's totally okay! I also don't like them, you aren't alone (≧◡≦) ♡

Something along the lines of "Hey (friend), I know you use these terms when I'm small, but they make me uncomfy and I'd prefer (names), it just makes me feel more comfortable in littlespace" would be absolutely perfect! Just make him aware that different regressor's have different boundaries and preferences 🤍

Things to do with your stuffies: Adventure edition!

1.. Jungle explorers! 🌷

Pack whatever cute bag/backpack you have! Snacks, a journal, fun pens or markers and of coursee.. your stuffie! Now it's time to head out, brave the big jungle in your backyard or park nearby!

2.. Treasure hunt! ⭐

Make a treasure map for your stuffie friends! Find a super cute hiding spot and put something special there! Then, take your crayons or markers and make the bestest map ever! You can take your stuffies and show them around, following the map untillll... surprise! You've found the treasure

3.. A nature journal! 💭

This is a must have for any little adventurer,, create a pretty (and awesome) notebook and keep track of something you like! Maybe a little family of animals, a plant, anything you want! Decorate the pages with stickers, drawings, and more!

4.. Fort time! 🐾

Ever good adventurer needs a home base, especially a cozy one ;3 Grab your stuffies and blankets and get to work! I'm sure you'll make the most amazing forts ever kiddos, then you can stock it up with snacks and your favorite things! Maybe even a media device to get cozy and play games or watch movies!
