so i've been doing a lot of thinking for the past few days, and, it's pretty unlikely that i'll be getting back to writing any time in the near future. i'm not sure if it's permanent or not, but it's pretty likely it is. i no longer get any joy from roleplay and any interaction here would feel, and be forced on my end.

feel free to unfollow if you'd like. i'm keeping this account up in case i ever change my mind, but that's not a given.

NAME:  athi PRONOUNS:  she / her. PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION: just yell really loud. i’m listening NAME OF MUSE(S):  athena cykes! RP EXPERIENCE/HOW LONG (MONTHS / YEARS?):  it’s been over 6 years on tumblr alone, but i’ve had more on other platforms. not all of it good experience PLATFORMS YOU’VE USED: tumblr, skype (a little bit), chatzy, facebook BEST EXPERIENCE:  oh this is a really hard one (mainly because i have selective amnesia and have already forgotten half the things i’ve written) but the best experiences for me have been roleplays that involve more than two people, two muns, two characters. and i don’t mean at once - multiple people writing a thread - but people establishing a mutual universe where their characters know each-other, start cases and events that go beyond one thread and have other people involved, those are so good and i love them. me and who RP PET PEEVES/DEALBREAKERS:  i don’t have anything to say that doesn’t already fall under common sense (we all know metagaming, godmodding, lack of transparency, poor character writing and so forth) so i’ll mention something tangentially related: when people think they’re being funny or cool by making their characters repeatedly antagonize, insults and villainize villain or morally gray characters. and, if they don’t already know about them being villainous or morally gray, act suspicious and figure it out too quickly. i get it happening to a certain extent considering the nature of those characters but there comes a point where those character’s interactions start to revolve around people hating them or making fun of them. this is why people are hesitant to write characters that aren’t Good(tm), or anti-good but Attractive Enough or close enough on the redemption scale. it sucks the fun straight out for everyone involved.  FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT:  i love fluff. i love angst. i don’t know if smut will be a thing but i’m open to it in the right circumstances. don’t make me choose PLOTS OR MEMES:  plotting! i’m really not good at winging it. but memes are fun! LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: i’m gonna say long because i usually have to force myself to write short. i don’t write for months on end. then once a year i come in and write novels for replies BEST TIME TO WRITE:  [vaguely confused shrugging sound] ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S):  athena is the more social one of us. also the smarter. the more ambitious. the stronger. but hey neither of us like loud noise and both of us like psychoanalyzing people and also sticking our noses in where it isn’t our business

okay so i know the majority of you followed me for ace attorney content anyway but just so you’re not thrown off guard, i am dropping the multi of this muse blog and making this singlemuse, for athena cykes of ace attorney.

i barely play the other two. i will keep them on as guest muses (just in case both their dying fandoms express any interest in writing with me) but they will be no longer full-fledged blog muses and will be removed shortly.

“oh, i get that on mine a lot! it’s so annoying.” maria’s dramatics seem to be going over her head -- or she’s just ignoring them entirely as she digs into her purse. “i got it!”

a bottle of clear nail polish, presented as if self-explanatory. “use this! it won’t look perfect, but it’ll do in a pinch. do you know where to find a bathroom or a changing room?”

what  van  gogh  painting  are  you  ?

the sunflowers. "i'd like to paint in such a way that... everyone who has eyes could understand it." there was a series of these paintings of sunflowers. van gogh was heavily praised for them by those he knew. to him, they felt like they were his mark. like they were truly his own. you often feel the same need to stand out and be remembered for something. you're an individualist through and through, and you're determined to make your own mark. you have so much courage, so much passion, and so much determination. but let me tell you a secret: you don't have to fight to be important. you already are. some of your traits are: ambitious, one-minded, and passionate.

ARTICLE OF CLOTHING: mini skirt, bolero jacket, blouse, Boots(tm) CANDY: in moderation. gets awful sugar crashes otherwise. gravitates to pudding or ice cream, sweets of the more liquidy variant.  LEFT OR RIGHT-HANDED?: right SLOPPY OR NEAT WRITING?: mostly neat. with hearts on the dots of i’s because what did you expect  CLEAN OR MESSY HOME?: it depends on the day -- she likes keeping it clean and knowing where things are, but might leave a mess if she’s working extra or needs something done on a deadline. SHOWER IN MORNING OR NIGHT?: night. morning only if she’s not in a hurry, which isn’t often.  TASKS DONE EARLY OR LAST MINUTE?: early. not a procrastinator! most of the time anyway LOVE LANGUAGE?: physical touch, quality time BELIEVE IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT?: not really. athena is a romantic at heart, and really likes her tropes -- she has the occasional fantasy that someone she likes will fall in love with her at first sight, or she’ll have her sweet moment with someone, but realistically knows that’s not going to happen and ‘love at first sight’ would be a very superficial thing (or disturbing, depending on the context) if actually executed.
