I got word that I can share my full piece from the @bravelyfashionzine now, so here it is! Yew is such a heartwarming character, and I really love him- I tried to design a good mix of silly and serious outfits for him in this piece, and hopefully you can get an idea of what each was inspired by! Here’s the first part of my gift for @bayalexison for the bravely default secret santa! A comic about the first time Yew met Agnes, and how they support each other

They asked for something that looked into Yew and Agnes’ friendship so I hope this is something you enjoy! I love the two characters a lot and It was fun to write and draw this out!!! (reads better on mobile aha)

Magnolia laughs, her eyes harbouring an excited glint. Hands are carefully positioned behind her back, to hide something.

However, she can’t keep it hidden for long, and she brings a fairly small tray into view. The tray in question holds a few cylindrical, confection-like objects.

“ I tried to make something Lotus showed me. They’re a Sagitta specialty called macarons! Do you want to try them with me? ”

I’m thinking about a modern verse for yew and: how about one where he is this 16 yo prodigy kid who is already in college and currently taking a course on the social impact of natural disasters??? and he decides to approach tiz to write an essay about his experience as a survivor

idk I thought it would be a decent way to convey his canon fanboying for tiz into a modern context, plus it would marry decently with my preexisting headcanons, and create an interesting dynamic where tiz is initially very very annoyed with him bc good luck getting him to talk about his trauma if you are not his therapist ksjdsl
