Instead of fighting Taliban, they’re targeting and arresting innocent helpless refugees. She wouldn’t have to face this problem if she would have gotten at least 5% of the money National Geographic made by placing her photograph on the cover. The injustice of this is just sickening and it pretty much represents how America benefits from screwing over and oppressing smaller countries.

Not only did they not pay her, they didn’t even know her name until years later.  They took her photo, made millions off of it, and never bothered to ask her name.  By the time they thought it’d be totes cool to track her down (and exploit her again for a follow up piece), she was married with children.
