I asked my body “how does it feel this time around?” in the context of falling in love with you
and next morning, wildflowers blossomed, I wrote 100 lines of poetry before 10 am, the tea was fresh and the yogurt tasted of honey.
Of course, I had no answer from myself but my own silence and the turn of the weather was sufficient in convincing me that love heals all.
Lilies bloom but once a year, no one can save a soul but the spirit itself, the lover is meant to enhance, not complete.
I accept you as mortal, touchable, able to make mistakes; the highest form of love between two people is to allow one to be fully human.
This love feels natural, like freedom, as pure as art and pleasure is to the human species, something holy and sacred because I’ve decided it to be.
