nhl goalie problems: like 3 teams have a legit great goalie. league sv% below .900 for the first time in a william years. every goalie streaky and prone to suddenly throwing a series.

pwhl goalie problems: every team has three goalies who should be starters. worst GAA in the league would be middle of the pack in the nhl. nobody can score a fucking goal bc they're all brick walls.

don’t you GET IT. he thought he was unwanted and had trade rumors surrounding him for over a year. the phone call was short. he walked into atlantic city unsure of everything only knowing that tocchet was sometimes called “tocc” and shook danny’s hand thinking how danny was the only guy willing to make a bet on him and even then it was for a second rounder and an ageing bottom sixer. he gets a townhome and is living in a big city for the first time in his life. he walks into the locker room knowing he has a rep (most overrated player?) and tk tells him to play hockey the right way and it’s all bit nerve wracking. but everyone warms up fast and it’s nice to have jamie there because even though he’s an extrovert he’s always been his best self when jamie is around. so when jamie gets his first season goal he crashes into him full speed and starts to think that there might be a real place for him here. and against the ducks he scores two goals and the arena is alive in a way he has never experienced before and he drops f bombs on camera and tells the whole world that philly is home for him. but there’s always downs in a story and things start to get brutal so he invites the wide eyed rookie to live with him because hotel beds are uncomfortable (and he never got invited to live with a vet). the olympic break is a reset and he watches his close friend become part of history with equal parts pride and jealousy. tocchet moves him to center and it’s an adjustment at first but it seems like the ice has opened up and he’s finally playing the position he has yearned for for multiple years now. the team is flying after the break and he’s checking the standings and points constantly because maybe he can play meaningful hockey. it’s consumed him so much he tells barkey and bump to appreciate this type of stress because it’s a first for him, too. porter gets the ot winner in a big bruins game for the standings and everything blanks out and he headlocks him because yes he’s happy for porter’s first goal but also because this is another step closer to playoffs and he wants to experience it so bad. and then vladar stops that final shootout and everything seems to explode into orange and he can’t stop yelling because oh my god he’s going to the playoffs and as they leave the ice he and jamie share a tight hug because no one else in the world knows exactly how much they struggled in their nhl careers to get to this point other than each other. and the pens series is a blast when jamie gets that first goal he wants to merge their bodies together he’s so elated. and in game three when he gets that power play goal it’s just pure adrenaline as he skates over to the penalty box because it’s all due to the team the family the love he’s experiencing on the flyers that’s getting them wins. so when cam wins the series in over time and they hug he can’t help but think of how far the two of them have come from teenagers fooling around in michigan and everything that’s led to this moment. the canes series is brutal and it’s a tough end but even before the handshake line the philly crowd that’s known for being raucous and passionate is giving them a standing ovation and chanting LGF and he takes a second to skate away from the group and pat the logo on his chest because this is home. he said it was home back in january and ever since then it’s only become more solid. the team the people the fans the sea of orange the old faces he gets new experiences with and the new faces he gets to know more over time. all the way back in june 2025, philly was the only team that wanted him and in may 2026, philly is the only team that he wants.
