Anya deserved so much more. Everyone was always rude and mean to her, never trying to let her be her... like yeah, she maybe loves money a lot and says things straight out, but that’s her personality. That’s who she is, and every time she says something it’s always brushed away.

I would love if they actually made Buffy for example bond more with her after she came back from death, I feel like when Buffy was pulling away from Xander and Willow it would have been nice to see her spend more time with Tara and Anya. Especially Anya for I think it would have been nice to see Anya help Buffy feel connected to this world again the same way Anya had to after she quit being a demon

Dan Reynolds really woke up that day and thought “I’m gonna give the gays everything they want”

Bit of background to this, Dan Reynolds (lead singer for Imangine Dragons) holds the LoveLoud concert (the concert these pictures were taken at) in Utah where the LDS or Mormon church is predominantly the culture and religion of the state.

Reynolds was raised Mormon (I don’t know if he is still practicing) but has created this concert to give hope and understanding to the LGBT+ community there, especially the youth.

Utah has an extreme problem with youth suicide, especially Mormon LGBT+ kids who feel especially stressed due to the Mormon religious regulations and beliefs against being LGBT, but also the cultural biases and attitudes of the people that ostracize even non-Mormon LGBT+

Reynolds has advocated for attention to these issues from the Church and State Government, and also uses the LoveLoud concert to gain attention to these issues (and if I’m not mistaken, donates any proceeds to charity for LGBT youth in the state)

As far as I know, he is not LGBT, just a great fucking ally who saw a need in his state/culture and has done his best help.

So yeah, not only do Imagine Dragon songs fucking slap, but they all screamed “GAY RIGHTS!” at a heavily conservative and anti-LGBT state to help create a safe space for gay kids.

I’m so tired of every year during pride month, straight people feel the need to say they need straight pride/month… straight people are not under attack! Straight people are not the ones stilling fighting everyday to be validated, to be allowed to live! We have pride month and the pride parades because we need to remember being proud, remember we are valid, remember we are allowed to take space and be heard! It’s not straight people being erased, from history, media, pop-culture, and even your own identity!

Representation

Representaton is so improtant, that I think we sometimes forget that it should not mean that we can erase other sexualities. We also seem to be okey with it if they give us a lesbian and/or gay couple. I know that I myself has sometimes watch shows that has done exactly this, and that makes me sick because I know how much representation means to myself.

Therefor I think it’s improtant that we all look at representation and think how one queer sexuality can not represent all queer sexualities. Especially when there are some sexualities that sometime gets ereased to make room for gay and/or lesbian couples. We should not let them pit us against each other, we all deserve representation, and we should all demand it and hold dem accauteble.

6 years later and avatar (the james cameron movie) is still completely incomprehensible to me. like you’ve got the highest grossing film in recent history and no one actually enjoyed it beyond “eh. it was okay”

Avatar is such a weird anomaly.  It’s the highest grossing film EVER (not adjusting for inflation) by a huge margin and yet it left virtually no footprint on popular culture.  It had its 15 minutes of fame to the tune of $2.7 billion dollars worldwide, and within a few years it’s like no one remembers it even existed.  You only ever really see it mentioned these days in the context of its record-breaking box office.

Another thing is that, like. EVERY time someone says “Avatar” and means the James Cameron movie, they ALWAYS have to specify that; this post even did it. If they don’t, the first thing people think of seems to be Avatar the Last Airbender. The first thing people think of is the NICKNAME OF a children’s TV show that ended years ago, and not the full title of the top grossing film of all time.

Support them!! They are one of the few fashion brands with a commitment not to use sweatshop labor.

In fact, the people who make their bras and panties are women! They are often single moms or heads of their household. Naja offers free assistance for education and day care for the children of the women working for them. Conversely, Victoria’s Secret used prison labor for many years. Now, they likely contract with a sweatshop or other unsafe factory facilities.
