A tongue as sharp as her six inch stiletto, Hallie Fitzgerald is a force to be reckoned with. The product of her parents undeniable affection for the other, Hallie had them wrapped around her tiny little finger the moment she opened up her big doe-like eyes. With her father, an heir to one of Covington’s founding families, and ex-superstar quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. She had always been given anything her heart desired -- and almost always took advantage of that. Though while her father’s side of the family was the epitome traditional upbringings and southern charm, her mother was the definition of a train wreck. When Hallie was just about six years old, she witnessed the woman she resembled so much walk out the door, and never returned. It was only in a few short years after, her father had remarried someone of higher class and stature, as Hallie quickly found herself with a new family.
Despite the spitting image of the woman she hated so much, Hallie was and had always been a “Daddy’s Girl”. Since she was a child, she spent her days on the sidelines of all his games. From the NFL to when he took the coaching position at Covington’s high school, she always remembered it as her favourite memories with him. It was soon inevitable that she would find herself on the sidelines other than just his personal cheerleader -- but a professional one. Hallie fell in love with the sport, and for the first time in ever, had put her everything and all into it. She quickly followed in her father’s footsteps, bringing her team to the state championship, and claiming the title proudly so. However despite her superior status as her teams captain, she was far from being a reigning queen bee. While her step-sisters and friends flourished in southern belle traditions, and becoming doting young ladies. Hallie ignored all the stereotypes, seeing them more as a joke than anything. Seeing college as often more as a joke than anything, she was one of the only few that didn’t want to pursue going to UT after her senior year.
Love, was a concept she could never completely grasp. Having an endless trail of lovers left in the dust, she hadn’t truly loved anyone but her father or her beloved mutt Sam. When she watched her mother walk out on her family and her father remarry a woman she loathed, Hallie swore to never love or trust so blindly. However, that was until she fell in love for the football teams star Wide Receiver, and the rest seemed to be history. The two were even determined to beat the odds after he had been granted a full-ride scholarship for football in a different city. It had only been her greatest downfall when he was off with a different crowd, as she was stuck in the same old town working a job at a local cafe. Had she been dismayed when the little handle held tightly in her hands had to bright pink lines -- and she realised she was pregnant. Despite watching fellow classmates raise babies and start families, Hallie never saw that as a life for her. It wasn’t until she had the courage to tell him that a miscarriage ended all her worries, and she had just ended the relationship.Through while he went off to play professional college football, Hallie continued to start her own life in Covington. Eventually landing a better job, and getting her own place, she was persistent on leaving her past behind her.
