fuck people who reblog posts which contradict each other. no! be explicitly clear
admire folks who reblog posts which contradict eachother. exactly! keep em guessing
sometimes I think that when we step sideways or blink at a weird time we move into a parallel universe. and like, in my mind thereās infinite parallel universes. so thereās infinite universes basically identical to this one. so we donāt notice most times this happens. the biggest difference is probably the presence or absence of a bug under my shoe or the number of times Iāve had the hiccups or something. but occasionally thereās bigger changes like that time when I was a child and my sister insisted far beyond a lie or mistake that my towel was the pink one but I knew my towel had always been the white one and then a week or two later my towel was the white one again. towel change universe. this isnāt going anywhere I just like thinking about how many different universes I might have visited.
the twin to this concept is something I thought about a lot when I was younger and I always thought about it in the car for some reason. when i completely lost my train of thought, like no idea what i had been doing a minute ago, i decided it was because my soul actually belonged to a couple of different people in different universes. and every so often my universe had to be on pause so I could go be them. they didnāt have to look like me they were completely different people in a different world who just happened to have my soul as well. and I wouldnāt have any memory of being them and they wouldnāt have any memory of being me, weād just have the brain blank because it took us a second to adjust to being us again. and Iād wonder how often the other meās would have this same idea and Iād hope that they were doing well on pause waiting for their turn again. anyway the nature of humanity is we fucking love doing philosophy even before we know what that is i think.

š„ The beacons are lit; the library calls for aid
The Trump administration has issued an executive order aimed at dismantling the Institute of Museum and Library Services - the ONLY federal agency for America's libraries.
Using just 0.003% of the federal budget, the IMLS funds services at libraries across the country; services like Braille and talking books for the visually impaired, high-speed internet access, and early literacy programs.
Libraries are known for doing more with less, but even we can't work with nothing.
How You Can Help:
š„ Call your congressperson!
Use the app of your choice or look 'em up here: https://www.congress.gov/members/find-your-member
Pro tip: If your phone anxiety is high, call at night and leave a voicemail. You can even write yourself a script in advance and read it off. Heck, read them this post if you want to.
Phones a total no-go? The American Library Association has a form for you: https://oneclickpolitics.global.ssl.fastly.net/messages/edit?promo_id=23577
š„Tell your friends!
Tell strangers, for that matter. People in line at the check out, your elderly neighbor, the mail carrier - no one is safe from your library advocacy. Libraries are for everyone and we need all the help we can get.
...Wait, why do we need this IMLS thing again?
The ALA says it best in their official statement and lists some ways libraries across the country use IMLS funding:
An executive order issued by the Trump administration on Friday night, March 14, calls for the elimination of the Institute of Museum and Li
But if you want a really specific answer, here at LCPL we use IMLS funding to provide our amazing interlibrary loan service. If we can't purchase an item you request (out of print books, for example) this service lets us borrow it from another library and check it out to you.
IMLS also funds the statewide Indiana Digital Library and Evergreen Indiana, which gives patrons of smaller Indiana libraries access to collections just as large and varied as the big libraries' collections.
As usual, cutting this funding will hurt rural communities the most - but every library user will feel it one way or another. Let's let Congress know that's unacceptable.
I feel confident enough to post these now. A collection of all the existing posters after some edits from the other post that got 13k notes! These are full size/quality. Go nuts.
You may use them for wallpapers, tabletop campaigns, whatever. Consider tipping me or buying a print or sticker on ko-fi here! If you do use them, let me know what for, or send pictures!
sometimes youāre miserable and the weather is cold and rainy and youāre tired from the walk home and then you sip a hot cup of tea and you can feel it warm your bones and itās like. oh I get it the reasons to stay on earth are small and trivial but theyāre everywhere.

and as always please like/rb if you use these
HUGE fan of podcast episodes that arenāt like part of the main storyline but go absolutely nuts w character dynamics and voice acting and so permanently alter my brain chemistry, like āa passageā the pasithea powder, āhomeā the penumbra podcast, āa change of mindā and āvariations on a themeā wolf 359
a moodboard of sorts

finished in other lands and this is my main takeaway
podcast people I am back with another recommendation :3
(clears throat)
do you like horror podcasts? do you like bizarre small towns with unsettling citizens? do you like walrus haikus, man-eating cats, and Kicking Ass For The Lord?
listen to death by dying!
selling points:
horror comedy with a Very fun unreliable narrator and a great range of characters
follows the obituary writer of a small town as he investigates mysterious deaths
characters include a girl obsessed with peaches, creepy nuns, the angel of death (yeah literally), a wild man who lives in the woods, and haunted bicycles
a very fun and comedic tone which then bowls you over with stunning amounts of tragedy; I got emotional whiplash from this podcast
very short so far, but has been funded for a second season which is coming sometime soon! a manageable short listen, but lots of cool bonus content to tide you over
crossover episodes with SCP Archives, and bonus content ranging from funny to truly haunting (also, an episode starring felix trench!)
similar vibes to: hello from the hallowoods, dreamboy, kane and feels, and any Small Weird Town stories
in conclusion: listen to death by dying please
bringing this back because s2 was just announced for this october and I am buzzing with excitement. for anyone interested that is Absolutely enough time to listen through beforehand.
ok iām only partway through the newest dndads (16) but i absolutely do not trust anthony saying āthe one whose name tag says [lark/sparrow]ā. combined with the way āsparrowā is acting iām convinced that lark switched name tags with his brother.
thing is i donāt know Why yet so iām choosing to believe itās an act of kindness to help normal forgive his dad and believe that sparrow still supports and remembers him. even though itāll probably be some self-serving shit that hurts normal even more.
i am the smartest person on the planet. ANTHONY YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD PULL THE WOOL OVER MY EYES?? FOOL??
