Adam wasn’t the only one with regrets, Kenny had his own share of regrets as well. But he knew he wouldn’t be the man he was today without them. He used each regret as motivation to do better in the future and improve himself little by little. After all it was all he could do, since going back in the past wasn’t exactly an option. However hearing that Adam had regrets, he couldn’t help but wonder what exactly they were. He stood there in silence studying the younger man’s face for a few moments. “Tell me Adam. These regrets you have. Am I one of them?”

Whatever it might be, he's in a horrible headspace which is never good for anybody including himself and those close. Adam crashes hard without any kind of safety net, but this time he's staring straight at the man he confessed his feelings for just a few weeks ago. "You?" Immediately shaking his head of luscious curls. "Never, no, never you. Regrets I have with you is not coming to you sooner. Suffering alone." Pearly whites nibble a bottom pout with green hues lowering to the floor between them. "I regret agreeing with TK on the stipulation. I should never have done that. I'll never be have a chance again.. never. It's all over. Right?" Adam felt he was losing it. Some tears growing within eyes to have Kenny become blurry when he looked back up.

She had never been nervous around him before, so why were her nerves getting the better of her now? She followed him over to his horse, still unable to wrap her head around the fact that she was there alone with him. Was she dreaming? She tried her best to shake off her nerves, lacing her hands behind her back as they continued to walk together. “You’re imagining things, why would I be shaking?” A pause made. “By the way what is your horse name? She’s gorgeous.”

Having the little time off since Revolution, he invited the woman to come to his place and to his surprise she accepted. Willow would be at his home, his comfort place and he could show off his beautiful horses too. Why was he so nervous in possibly messing up or making the wrong move to where she avoids him at work. None of the things his mind is saying made sense, shaking them off to take in her small trembling. "You sure? I could always lend my jacket if you're a little chilly. It gets that way sometimes during Spring." Adam looks around at the big wide openness of the land he owns. "It's nice when you're out here working and sweating like a hog though." He smiles before nodding Willow over; "C'mon. She's one of the friendliest girls I have, loves being pet. Her name is Delilah." A rub down her mane is given as the horse stays still and calm.

"pizdă", marina hissed under her breath as her native tongue slipped from her lips. she was more cursing against herself than the man holding her back. her glacial look slid on the big hand now trapping her wrist. he held her back, slightly imposing, and yet didn't hurt her, as if caring not to hurt her.

despite her best efforts to forget all about it, even a small touch like that was enough to reignite the echoes of the passion they shared. it was only once. a moment of weakness from both sides, for sure. and yet it was something that easily riddled the mind of the fiercest warrior in the company, carving a craving inside of her she pretended not to feel. nonetheless, when she entered a room, any room, it was his eyes she searched for.

"what else needs to be said?" she offered, moving her head from side to side, her pale, dangerous gaze slowly raising on his face. slithering like a snake, she even leaned closer - because she surely wasn't about to back down. "we come from different worlds. you do not want me. you may want an idea of me. perhaps, it's the idea of conquering what I represent that you want." she smiled softly, sweetly - patronisingly. "but you don't want me. so let me make it easier for both of us."

She really thought she could just turn away without another word and he'd let her go? Did she not understand him at all? It wasn't as if they had pillow talk after that one night of weakness. But Marina knew fully well that he is the type to wear his heart on his sleeve whether he wanted to or not. The digits around her wrist were firm but if the older woman wanted to release herself she could have easily done so. She wasn't his prisoner though deep inside he can feel the noose around his neck, tight with her as the executioner to choose when it all ends.

Adam is breathing a little heavier through the anxiety of losing her, whatever this could bloom into if she'd just let go of that control. "There's lots that can be said. You just don't want to say them.." Eyes burning back into her gaze. "You're afraid to say them, afraid of what would happen if you said what's really inside. Don't give me that bullshit of two difference worlds." He'd spit out the venom she's trying to pump into him right now if he could. They both lived for validation from other people no matter what they like to think of themselves. The masses for him. The OTK for her. It was their own vices. "..but please make it easier 'n walk away. Go on, leave. M'sure he's waiting for you." With that he let go of her wrist to let his own fall to his side, not moving a muscle to show her he won't be the one to blame when she turns her back.

warmth. that was the first thing she thought when she first laid eyes on him. fought him. that faithful day she took a stance between him and mox and he just wouldn't back down. she was used to men pretending to be big and strong, just for her to take them down with ease. men absorbed in ego, drowning in their own arrogance. not him. he fought because it was right. he fought for what he believed. and wouldn't. back. down. taking the hits, maintaining eye contact... it was what got her to not forget it, eventually becoming a bigger problem for them both. he was warm, like the rage that flew in his blood. warm, like the righteous light shining behind his eyes. warm like his touch, she could still feel clearly branded on her own body. like his voice reduced to soft whispers and praises she still dreamed.

she remained silent, in the beginning, taking his anger, watching him move. she could have got away if she wanted. if only she wanted. if only she had the strength to. everything would have been easier if she could hate him. and his stupid hair she dug her fingers in. and his coarse voice saying her name. and his strong body under her. she didn't say anything, but it was all too clear, burning behind her eyes, in the small tremble shaking her body, bringing her to squeeze her hands in fists and brace her muscles, as though to hold herself back from touching him again. "don't bring him into this..." she whispered in the end, breaking eye contact with the cowboy with a twitch as shame stung her. that small window over her fear was gone in a second, as she looked back up, hiding resentment behind a large, dangerous smile that was no smile at all, but more showing teeth like an animal. "I guess I was right." she ripped her wrist off his hold, feeling a snap inside her chest when contact was broken. "it is that easy for you to just brush me under the carpet." she cursed under her breath. "why would I waste any breath speaking to you!? telling you... what? what is it that you think I don't want to say? that I caught feelings? that you mean something to me?" her gaze darkened. yes. yes. yes. mine. mine. mine. she shut that thought out with a shrug. "go to hell."

Oh, he had to bring /him/ into this. That's the only way she'd stick around. If only to fight back with hurtful words, at least she would be here instead of by his side. Adam couldn't believe she think he disposed of her that easily, as if he could get past her obsession to the game. The woman breathed for her spot in the Riders and with a snap of finger, she jumps as high as Mox wants. Of course he didn't mind taking all this verbal abuse if it meant being this close to the fire. Marina being the fire keeping him warm when everybody else has left his side. No bucks. No omega. Hell, speed and knight had moved on with a new partner because that's how the business works. It doesn't mean it's easy on the Cowboys heart. Most likely looking just as mangled as he did physically from his most epic lost in his career here.

Giving the same courtesy, he let her rage on with hands moving to rest on his belt buckle when they vibrated with want to touch her again. "Easy? Ya think any of this is easy for me?" Adam looked away, head shaking in disbelief that the red head would think so little of him. That one night of passion had been him showing her his entire soul and she's pissing all over it. Like a dog marking territory before leaving it far behind to be forgotten. After gathering his thoughts in the still stapled noggin' he meets her deadly gaze. "You're too much of a pussy to admit what ya really feel. Yeah, if ya did ya couldn't hide behind this strong exterior or your teammates." A look of pure disgust on the blondes face. "Pathetic, really."

He sat on the passenger side of the car leaning back as they rode around the city together. They both needed a reason to just cut loose, but doing it while listening to the Dixie Chicks? Yeah, that wasn’t happening. “Ayo, I know you’re still upset over what happened in your match. But what the fuck is this?” He motioned toward the radio with a shake of his head. “Nah, straight up, man. Are you a wrestler or a middle aged fucking housewife. Cause right now I can’t tell.”

The one thing about the relationship they had was at any given time Swerve would text or call randomly to hang out. It could be midnight and there he would be ready to go for a late night drive. They enjoyed each others company even if they were from two different worlds outside of the wrestling ring. "Hey, I don't say shit when we listen to your playlist. If I wanted to listen to sped up gen z sounding slam poetry with a beat- I'd hit up a tacky cafe club in the west side of the city." The Virginian chuckled at his own joke, never understood how people could listen to rap unless maybe being drunk off their ass. Instead of making Stephon suffer he switched to some random R&B song for a equal medium. "Better? Or should I hit you with some Britney Spears next..?" A small smirk to himself as he turned into the parking lot of a restaurant they decided on.
