I think it’s easy to get swept up in trying to appeal to beauty standards. I’ve been there and I know so many others who equate thinness with passing, but it is not healthy. Your masculinity should not be found in your bones, but rather your health.

I promise that I know how it feels when all the trans men you see online are skinny and white, but don’t fall into it. You are not them. Starving yourself won’t earn yourself a place at their table and it won’t make you feel any better in the long run.

You need to eat to be strong. You can’t carve yourself a body you feel safe in if you keep trying to kill it.
