If it wasn't for tumblr I would've never watched project hail Mary because the German trailer was so bad.

When I got the trailer as an ad before a yt video, I literally texted my sister ranted to her about how most new movies coming out just feel the same and how rarely we get something interesting and/or original.

The best way to describe it is that the trailer gave me Adam Sandler movie vibes.

Nothing against Adam Sandler movies, they are just not my type of humour and especially not the vibe I would want for a "the world is ending" space movie.

And honestly the main reason i didn't watch the movie was the one clip they chose for an interaction between grace and rocky.

It was the "your my favourite human because you are the only human I know" joke. Which I loved in the movie but in the German trailer?

I don't know how but they made it sound so light-hearted(?) that I got the vibe that grace was going to be the stupid Comic relief character that will be made fun of the entire time. Which is a trope I just cannot stand.

So I decided not to watch the movie because clearly I wasn't missing out on anything..

Then I saw tons of fanart here on Tumblr which made me question my decision. Because if Tumblr loves that movie it cannot be that bad. That's simply not possible.

Then, mainly after finding out about the bloodyMary ship I decided to check on AO3.

Where it was clear pretty quickly that this was not a funny silly movie so I finally decided to watch it (definitely legally) yesterday.

I cried 7 times

God that movie is so awesome

Germany, why did you make such an awful trailer that almost made me miss out on one of my new favourite movies?

So i was always thinking that the vampires are going to win, especially with how many there are now.

But now..?

There are a lot more vampires that are going to die, and it's starting to look like the humans won't even need to do a thing.

It's still very likely that the vampires will win, Scott isn't stupid and I don't think he will do anything to Pyro or Owen before they have killed the humans.

But afterwards? I don't think Scott will let them leave if he can stop (kill) them.

I haven't watched pyros pov jet, that will have to wait till tomorrow, but it feels like he thinks scott likes/trusts him more that he actually does.

Like Scott said to Shelby, Pyro was only ever nice to him as a means to survive and not because he actually likes him. And he is very aware of that.

When the time comes, i don't think Scott is going to hesitate, Pyro being his fledgling or not. Unless Pyro mages to sweet Talk Scott, which doesn't seem very likely anymore.

And with Owen? That's going to be a tough fight, I don't think either of them is going to be willing to negotiate or talk. That is going to end deadly. One way or another.

I'm excited to watch Pyros and Owens episodes tomorrow and see what exactly happened and what their plan is going forwards

How it actually was

Someone said that this is how Scott sees humans, but now I think that this is how he sees everyone (because he's super old 💀)

and that explains everything

There is a lot of talk about how the cure works, if only Scott has to die to cure all or if everyone who sired a fledgling needs to die.

While the only Scott needs to die Theorie would have the better outcome, the other one gives us so much more angst.

The people of Oakhurst seem to believe they only need to kill Scott, so let's say they manage that.. and it only cures Drift, Apo and Pyro. Now what? Cleo and Shelby are still vampires what do they do now? Pyro is just a human again, are they going to kill him trying to save the others?

And what if they do but it doesn't cure Shelby and Cleo because he isn't a vampire anymore. They now killed a human and it was for nothing.

What happens to Cleo and Shelby? Are they allowed to stay with the people of Oakhurst? Or are the humans going to kill them to be safe and make sure no other people can be changed?

And what is Avid going to do? Let's say the humans don't know he's a vampire. Now he has to make a decision. He could still be cured, his sire is still alive but it's Shelby, And the only reason she is his sire is because he asked her.

The only reason he wanted her to bite him was because he was sure there was an easy cure but there isn't. Will he decide to stay the monster he hated so much or is it going to be his fault, once again, one of his best friends is going to die?

And in regards to Owen I think the people would kill him either way, much against what Legs wishes. His sire is long dead, and even if he could be cured, I don't think he would stop being a threat to the people that took his gift from him.

I'm a really big fan of the unreliable narrator that vsmp has going on, but like, guys, I (sadly) don't have the time to watch 14 vsmp episodes every week at my job.

But it's just so good. Something feels like nothing special in one pov? Watch someone else's and it becomes something big.

A good example from this episode is Owen correcting "our castle" when Scott says "my castle".

That on its own doesn't feel special. I mean, it has been Scott's castle for hundreds of years, it's normal for him having to get used to saying ours, right?

But from Owens pov it could mean so much more, which you won't know if you just watch Owens pov because he cut it out.

When he was in Oakhurst standing on the roof a conversation took place before pearl came up to push him off.

I don't remember everyone who was there, but sausage and pearl told Owen that Scott told them Owen doesn't mean anything to him. That Owen is just a henchman and a means to an end. I don't remember the exact words but it was something along the lines.

Owen didn't believe them, because why would Scott say that to them, that doesn't make any logical sense. But it does put the "my castle" "our castle" in a way different light, especially because it happened right after.

Apo please don't get yourself killed by the old vampires.

With the amount of conversation between fledglings and humans making plans together both Owen and Scott manage to randomly come upon and listen to, I am very worried about her

We talk a lot about pearls ability to miss anything important, but Scott's and Owens luck of listening in on conversations is insane

I can't believe I have to go to sleep without getting to watch apos episode.

But just the pain I felt from watching Scott's and legs episodes.

Her deciding to finally tell Martyn after not telling anyone (exept legs but I don't count that situation as her telling him) just for him to run out and tell the entire town. And without legs and abolish stepping in I don't doubt the millita would've just tried to kill her.

And then after the humans kinda calmed down finding out Martyn knew about Cleo but kept that secret??

I can't wait to see her pov but also knowing I have to wait two weeks for the next episode?

I've seen a few posts talking about how Louis wouldn't have wanted v!Owen to slaughter the town, or what if Louis on the pyre whispered something along the lines of "forgive them" but Owen didn't hear it.

My take on that is that I don't think Owen would have cared. If someone would have come up to him, either 200 years ago or now and told him "Louis wouldn't have wanted this" I feel like Owen would just be like "well then maybe you should have killed him" and keep going with extra spite.
