been having such a shit afternoon -> into the evening but my childhood friend reached out with his old smiths collection and asked if i wanted it all and i burst into tears fucking instantly Tbh need electroshock ASAP

#it sounds like i get really emotional about the smiths which yeah duh but #this guy has been my friend for ages and we rarely talk outside of occasional catchups #and its really really nice that he still thinks of me enough to give me something of his that was so important to him years ago #or at least the lifetimes ago when i last saw what he was into #i just really like being seen and i think it hit more having it be by someone that i assumed wasnt as close to me as before #also its really endearing to think of him back when we were like. what. 16 17 and i remember when he got meat is murder on vinyl #and i was like Hmm who dat #personally i could never fathom getting the smiths out of my life and its impressive he could give stuff of his away #since he and i are really hardcore fandom type ppl like. thats what our friendship was built on #so yeah. big impacts here. bigggggg explosions made #coyconvos
