       a  topic  of  a  new  and  popular  dating  app  were  flourishing  around  campus  a  year  ago,  minho  having  jumped  in  on  it  and  made  a  profile  but  then,  never  to  do  anything  about  it.  then,  at  a  party  it  was  brought  up  again,  apparently  you  could  pay  to  see  who  had  already  liked  you,  or  buy  more  super  likes  for  the  day.  all  terms  the  male  found  odd  and  yet,  his  intrigue  had  been  piqued  enough  for  him  to  reinstall  the  app.  going  through  it,  a  few  swipes  and  then  an  all  too  familiar  face  pops  onto  the  screen.   “ joomi's  on  here  ? ”   murmuring  to  himself,  thumb  tapping  against  the  side  of  his  phone  a  couple  of  times,  motion  of  pondering on what to do  before  a  swipe  to  the  right  was  made.  on  the  screen,  an  animation  of  both  their  icons  bumping  against  each  other  and  then  bolded  letters  writing   ‘  it's  a  match  !  ’  .  couldn't  help  but  smirk  in  amusement,  because  clearly  she  had  already  shown  interest  before  him  and  therefore  he  went  to  the  accessible  dms  now.  party  slowly  forgotten  with  his  new  point  of  interest. adjusts  the  collar  of  his  shirt  as  if  the  fabric  were  a  tightening  noose.  “ okay,  but  ache  is  kind  of  an  exaggeration, ”  words accompanied with a light chuckle as  he  tries  to  mellow  the  conversation.  treating  her  confession  like  a  fire  he  can  simply  breathe  out.  matters  of  the  heart  have  always  felt  like  a  language  he  refuses  to  speak,  a  heavy  territory  he  skirts  around  to  keep  his  own  breathing  steady. avoids  the  pull  of  sentiment  like  a  cold,  spreading  plague.  there  is  a  specific  safety  in  staying  on  the  surface,  a  fear  that  diving  deeper  would  only  lead  to  a  pressure  his  lungs  weren't  built  to  handle.
