Do you think it's a good idea to blog those pictures of Kit at rehab when they were taken by paparazzi without his consent? IMO, the Daily Mail seriously violated his privacy by taking those. I ask as a fellow fan of his that you reconsider spreading those pictures.

The thing about Wikipedia is that, from my experience in editing pages, all they care about is if the information cited is from a ācredibleā site. But, the information on the ācredibleā site can still be incorrect from the start.

Please donāt let fandom ruin something you love. Walk away and unfollow the fans and enjoy the thing by yourself, or find a limited circle of people who ignore the discourse, or get your irl friends into the thing and collectively ignore the Internet community, or blacklist from here to the moon if you need to and only ever scroll through your rarepair shipās tag on AO3. But donāt let fandom distort a show or a movie or a book or a comic you used to love so badly that you canāt enjoy the original anymore. Please. It isnāt worth it.
I donāt see any badness on Tumblr because I only follow a few GoT things and they all rock. However, I need to stop reading things on Twitter because Iām just getting pissed off all day.
I do want to take everything Iāve written on Twitter & make a post on here though. Just so I, and anyone else who may agree, can come back to look at it whenever I may still get heated.
I really wanna engage in fandom fun but I also feel like I have to stay away from here, because 1. Iām told someone is posting leaks of the rest of the season? I canāt just blacklist the spoiler tag because that would erase literally all of everyoneās season 8 content from the dash and 2. at least half the text-based posts Iāve seen about last night are negative. Yall really are some killjoys huh? Iāll say this, I literally donāt care anymore whether GRRM was going to have Arya kill the Night King or not. I donāt care if he would have ended the Long Night this āearlyā (we also donāt know if itās over for good but okay). Newsflash: Heās never gonna write that far. Ever. And D&D have their issues, but they put a woman in the spotlight and let her save her family on her own turf and it was a beautiful moment reminiscent of Eowyn killing the Witch King in LOTR. It was foreshadowed seasons ago with Melisandreās āblue eyesā comment and focus on Arya. Arya is literally one of the worldās greatest assassins. It makes sense. And the episode at large was a suspenseful, intense, heartbreaking, amazing feat of onscreen storytelling that will probably become as legendary as the Helmās Deep battle in the fantasy and film communities, but everyone here is trying to ruin it. Already. I guess because your faves werenāt as spotlighted as you hoped? I donāt even know. A fandom was meant to be a place of mutual enjoyment and I feel like itās only that for more casual fans these days, which makes me sad. And I should be allowed to exist here without being exposed to spoilers for content that wonāt air for weeks yet. Sorry for the negativity but I needed a rant.
I donāt think people are more upset about Arya killing the NK as they are that Jonās entire arc revolved around it only for someone else to make the kill so Jonās arc at the wall and facing off with the Night King countless of times has no relevance at all
Jonās entire arc did not revolve around the Night King. Jon met the Night King in 5.08, five years into his arc and right before his death. His arc revolved around overturning his bastard status and being recognized in the world by saving the North. And he did. They all did, together. GOT was never going to be about one person doing the most. Everyone in that episode cooperated both during the battle and the years leading up to it. Jon and Dany were the most essential to the armies and turned out not to be the most essential on the ground but they played a huge role in killing wights with dragon fire and unseating the Night King from Viserion. Iāve been a primarily Jonerys blog for years but we have to remember this is not the Jon and/or Dany show.
Jonās goal with the AOTD & the WW was always to just defeat them and save the living. Heād say that the NK needed to be killed, he never said by HIM. If people thought that and their disappointment over an amazing episode was based on that, thatās their own fault.
A lot of people probably felt kinda let down by Jonās arc, like me. But the more I thought about it, the more Iām convinced we have to wait and watch. GoT subverts tropes, but all the main characters have arcs. So, like Melisandre said about Beric, the Lord brought him back for a reason. We have 3 more film-length episodes to go. Even though Jon was pivotal in mobilizing everyone for the War of the Dawn, I donāt think weāve gotten to the āreasonā Jon was brought back yet.
Exactly. Jonās arc isnāt over. And Iād still say for all the fellow Jon stans (yes, fellow. JON is my favorite character and I still loved the episode???) that we are at the halfway mark of the final season and all the episodes to come are longer. Jonās arc is still ongoing, and regardless of where it goes he still played one of the most important roles in saving humanity. Heās the last Targaryen son. He has a DRAGON. They are still letting Jon Snow be special. And like, the Battle of the Bastards was more personal for Jon so of course it focused on him. Same with Hardhome. But this battle was about everyone and I guess the writers decided to show that by having everyone contribute something. It wasnāt Jonās Big Hero Moment but he was still part of the Dance of Dragons and faced an undead dragon in single combat. I mean. He was still cool. Heās still our Jon.

Like Iām sorry but how Arya killed the NK made no sense? Not the valerian steel dagger, but her sneak attacking him? While surrounded by wights and White Walkers? Seriously?

Anyway, Melisandre told Arya she had to kill someone withĀ āblue eyes,ā Arya had anĀ āaha!ā moment and ran off, presumably to stake out Bran, BEFORE the Night King arrived, so I think itās safe to assume she was hiding waiting for his arrival. And she didnāt go undetected, it showed another White Walker tilt his head like he heard her. But I guess she knew so long as she stabbed the Night King in time it wouldnāt matter. I thought it was amazingĀ and I couldnāt be happier that Arya was the one to take him down, and the way the scene happened was AWESOME I was screaming.
This fandom sucks. Plain and simple. Some of them are incapable of enjoying it and I wish theyād just stop watching. They donāt have to like everything, of course, but to be mad about THAT episode? Really?

Outrage at Arya Starkās āGame of Thronesā Sex Scene Is Misplaced
Arya Stark had sex.
Plainly speaking, that shouldnāt be a point of contention for anyone. An 18-year-old woman, Arya has been on her own since she was 11 years old, survived countless kidnappings, escaped death more than once, and even learned to become absolutely No One. She is deadly, proving time and time again sheās not one to be messed with, eliminating her enemies and those that threaten her family without thinking twice. And, yet, a young woman wanting to consensually experience coitus has āGame of Thronesā fans up in arms.
Since the second episode of the final season of Game of Thrones aired, the internet has been ablaze with critics of the sultry scene. Some have blasted showrunners for sexualizing Arya, while others have lamented the use of sex as a way to prove the youngest living Stark is no longer a child. While itās true that character development can be written in a number of ways that doesnāt include ālosing virginityā as proof of adulthood, Aryaās decision to have sex is one that should be respected, not chastised ā especially when itās one of few examples of consensual sex on the show.
In the same episode that Arya has sex, Ser Brienne of Tarth reveals she was once captured and nearly raped. Aryaās own sister Sansa was repeatedly abused by her husband Ramsay Bolton for a majority of the fifth season. Iron Throne contender and dragon mother Daenerys Targaryen was also raped by her husband Khal Drogo early on in her story arc.
