I gotta say, I think the episode did touch a little on toxic positivity and constantly being an asshole. We see how both sides of the extremely are negative, Morty chooses to only see the good side of things and misses when negative stuff actually happens, such as his arm getting chopped of or the fact he isn't helping the teacher. Then with constant negativity, we see how much of an asshole he is, I bet if he stayed with zero empathy forever, or for a long while, it would hurt everyone.

We also see this with Rick, how being constantly toxic hurts Morty, even if he regretted it immediately. But when he's constantly positive and empathetic, he's probably would have been unable to protect Morty if he wasn't willing to defend himself aswell.

That's not to say empathy and positivity is bad, or toxicity is good, but being in one extreme isn't healthy for anyone... I think I don't know. Don't quote me on this

It will go away after 2028, for its not permanent, but it’s still bad to see

We still need to fight the permanent chat control 2.0

But it’s also good to know that
