I have now just realized that I have been introducing the redesigns, yet I didnt post anything about the AU itself, so here are some concepts:
Charlie is the princess of hell, technically the daughter of Lucifer and Lilith, though not literally because sinners cant give birth, and Lucifer himself would not stoop so low as to actually copulate with a "yucky human" even more so someone like Lilith. Although she's royalty, she's not the heir to the throne; theres no "heritage" when it comes to Lucifer, so Charlie is just a doll that's meant to represent the royal family. While Charlie is doing all her "princess stuff" the true rulers are the deadly sins and ars goetia.
In this AU, Lilith is dead, so Charlie doesn't have any real parent figures other than her servants that helped to raise her. Charlie was heavily sheltered, her whole life was spent inside her palace. She's a very naive and insecure girl, and her only accomplishment so far was the Happy Hotel, which is meant to help with hell's overpopulation issue by sheltering new sinners to protect them from hell's constant hazards. Even so, she's practically unknown by the sinner population, all they know about this "Has-been Hotel" is that its some kind of dingy, unclean shelter created by the government, although its population is dominated by mafias, with staff composed of self-disrespecting imps that are desperate for money.
One day, she decided to rebrand it as something that was never seen before: a redemption center. Surely this plan will work out, it doesnt matter that she just came up with it 5 minutes ago and this is definitely *not* a desperate attempt at winning her fathers attention. No no no, she definitely cares about the sinners. They dont deserve to be exterminated by exorcist angels every year, look at how funny they are!
I decided that she will be renamed to VI (pronounced as "vee"). She recently spawned in Hell, and from what informarion she has gathered thus far, it seems that something called an "extermination" happened a few days ago. Luckily, she discovered that theres this hotel that is promising sinners a chance at redemption, however, she has no idea what she has to redeem herself for. She has no recollection of her previous life and what lead her to enter Hell, infact, VI isnt even her real name; she just came up with it when some impish receptionist asked her for her name. She hopes that by joining the hotel, she may remember who she used to be.
He's a famous porn star in Hell, known as Overlord Valentino's "favourite", he makes presentations in drag in Val's estabilishments. He's constantly pampered by Val, all his riches are provided by him.
Angel has been rich all his life (both before and after his death), thanks to him being born into the mafia, so he has very expensive tastes and wouldnt even dream about touching that dingy hotel with a 10 foot pole; however, after the extermination, Angel and Val fought (again), so he decided to distance himself from Val. Since Valentino is basically the only reason that Angel is who he is today, he is completely lost and has nowhere else to go for the time being. In the flick of his wrist, Val could break that deal anytime and send the mafia after him.
Out of desperation, he decides to join the Happy Hotel. He's sure that good-for-nothing doormat of a princess wouldn't mind him as he takes advantage of her charitable work. In fact, she should be grateful, no one knows who she is anyway, but everyone knows who he is, even if they pretend that they don't. That pathetic excuse of a shelter will be filled with his loyal fans in no time, he's basically advertising it for free!
