I'm still debating whether or not to share these refs to Art Fight because I'm very unhappy with the output. But, I had all these ideas and interest in revisiting my AU for IHNMAIMS so I had to express them somehow.

This is a very personal take on these characters for me, esp with my choice to make Ellen the main focus instead. Various other changes have been made, mixing together the original short story and its game adaptation. Before Earth is taken over by AM's might, there were five.

Ellen - Computer programmer. She's a shy woman with a hard time expressing herself to others. Some in the office take it as her acting cold towards her coworkers, when truly, she hasn't found her people yet. And after a traumatizing event in her life, Ellen's afraid that she will never open up at all.

Ted - Art appraiser/Photographer. When Ted's not using his status to persuade women to become a part of his next art show, Ted's wondering when his father is going to drop dead and leave the financing company to him in the will. Well off and unbothered, Ted lives a life many envy. Though prideful of that fact, he still wants more.

Gorrister - Long haul trucker. Gorrister is not doing well after the death of his mother. His sisters won't speak to him or welcome him home. Gorrister stays on the road for as long as he can, repressing anger towards where life led him. That anger sometimes leaks out, taking on the toxic habit of getting into fights with strangers. It's the only way he gets to feel something anymore.

Benny - Sociology professor. As an educator, many would say that Benny is someone looking to give you a hard time in class. Meanwhile, Benny would describe himself only wanting the best for his students. He is a man that means well, but never says that aloud. And for that, he will always be perceived as vain and unforgiving.

"Nimdok" - Computer engineer. ██████ believes he's doing the right thing. Of course, working under an American military contractor, you have to tell yourself that. Otherwise, you lose sight from what is your duty. To protect your country by any means necessary. ██████ has grown to become a very paranoid man, unwilling to trust even his colleagues who are just as entrenched with government secrets as he is. This condition has worsened after he created his greatest work of all. And that's -....well you're already familiar with Him, aren't you?

After each of these lives are poached from the nuclear apocalypse started by a certain computerized overlord, AM thought it would be fun to strip the five of everything but their base instincts. The A.I. also added modifiers to his victims that would enhance his entertainment. AM would do this for the first 100 years of their entrapment until he gets bored.

The AU would begin after that century and after AM does what he so lovingly titles 'the Centennial Reset.' Though, it's not really a reset. He doesn't spare them from the memories made from this time. Nor does He spare them from further, torturous excursions.

He will do this for thousands of years.
