âWow, I feel like I would never actually visit you if you had your christmas decorations up. Like seriously, wouldnât you just go crazy looking at them?â Artem asked as he looked over at her and arched an eyebrow up looking rather amused. âSeriously, I think iâd go mad just staring at all the lights. I canât even stand them when Christmas is actually happening. Theyâre just so overwhelming to look at.â That was saying something from someone who was afraid of the dark. âIâd rather just look at the dull street lights than Christmas lights.â he said with a shrug as he glanced down. Artem hadnât really been feeling this magic, that she had sopken of. That was surprising for Artem considering that Christmas used to be his favorite holiday. But for some reason this year had seemed to different.Â
âYeah, probably. Also, the electricity bill would be high, and thatâd be so wasteful.â Freja nodded, at both herself and Artem. âAll of the lights would definitely give me a massive migraine and that wouldnât be good,â she finished lamely, smiling. âBut the lights aside, Christmas is usually a magical time of the year, at least for me. Itâs a bit different, though, this year. I suppose itâs because Iâm here and not in Denmark with my family. Itâs strange to think that this is my last year as a single person for ever, and that from now on, Iâll be celebrating Christmas with my own little family. Itâs strange.â She repeated the phrase again and frowned, her hand on her chin as she began to ponder the life events she would be going through in the next couple months.Â
