HELPER(S) WANTED
Dear Followers,
This coming year will be my final year at Cal Poly Pomona, so in keeping this blog alive like the ones before me, I will be starting the process of searching for one to two students who may be interested in taking over the blog after I am gone. For lack of a better word, this person or persons would be my helpers for the rest of this academic year.
To clarify the role of this blog: CPP Fashion is not linked to Cal Poly Pomona in any official way. Currently, this blog, its administration, and content creation is a personal hobby and creative outlet. However, as a long term vision for this blog, I hope this to be linking officially with the school as its own, stand-alone club or society that is not to be absorbed in with any current fashion club on campus. CPP Fashion is something I do for fun, but it is also something I take seriously and in which I put hours of my time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a CPP student.
- Must have at least 2 academic years left (including this one) until you graduate.
- Must own or have easy access to a nice-ish digital camera. (Any DSLR will do or anything with a CMOS or Micro 4/3 sensor)
- Must have access to, and some ability in using image editing software.
- Must have at least 3 hours of free time on campus a week to devote to picture taking.
- Must be able or believe you are able to approach strangers and take photographs of them.
DUTIES:
- Administering the CPP Fashion Instagram account.
- Developing the look of the CPP Fashion Tumblr page.
- Accompanying me during shoots.
- Eventually running all accounts and providing regular daily-weekly content for them.
- Finding a replacement for yourself when you graduate.
- Expanding this project to be officially associated with the school.
Along with these tasks you will gain an understanding of what I look for when taking photographs along with the technical and stylistic knowledge I have learned from shooting street fashion photography for the past year. Hopefully this will help inform you in whatever direction you decide to take CPP Fashion after I am gone.
The application process will start with a letter of any reasonable length describing why you are interested in taking over the CPP Fashion blog, and will continue with interviews and other methods of selection based on the volume of response. In your letter application include your name, age, year of attendance, and contact info. Please include links to a portfolio and/or Instagram handle. You may also include/attach any of your personal work or whatever else you think might be appropriate such as photographers or photographs you like, brands or outfits you find inspirational, and stuff like that. Just please make sure to describe in detail what it is you like about these things, and if they are your own photographs, what it is about them that you think makes them good.
