some tips and tricks from a hellsite inhabitant since 2010:

1. REBLOGS MEAN EVERYTHING

2. like are for you personal archive, reblogs are for everyone else

3. no algorithm. everything is chronological on your dashboard. its lovely. so reblog the stuff

4. your blog is like your own emotional support void. you can shout into, throw stuff you wanna see in it, edit stuff you dont like. all for you so you make your blog what you want

5. no one cares about your followers. we cant see how many you have nor do we want to. and any mutuals you have are only known by one another; its a secret bond between either party

6. please add an avatar picture! you look like a bot if you dont. make it something you like, like squirrels or pizzas or those two queer characters youre shipping this month

7. your dash is yours to curate. follow what you want to see and block/unfollows tags or blogs you dont want

8. tags are your best friend. tag all relative things on your post so that it can be found whilst searching. if you want to comment on a post, but its not gonna be conducive to it, put that puppy in the tags! dont reblog a post and add "loll 💯💯" put that in the tags

9. key terms: blog=account, dash/dashboard=timeline, queue= scheduled posts, asks= you can open your blog up for other blogs to send questions, anon= anonymous asker.

10. be free. be merry. and do what you want on our dumpster fire site

I admit I’ve been a little judgemental about the teams lack of… care (?) for Maya.

Other than Carina, Andy has really been the only one to push Maya and confront her on her behaviour. I get that Theo doesn’t know her well enough to approach her. But I acknowledge that he sees it. It’s just that, where is the intervention for Maya like the one forced upon Jack?

More importantly - Where is this family sticking up for her to Beckett?!? That’s the part that gets me.

I don’t like the “that’s just Maya” narrative that people push on her also. Because it’s not. And even if it was… that’s not who post-Carina-Maya is.

But I’ve seen some hate on Andy leaving to go to the call and not making sure Maya is okay and that is not cool. What else is she supposed to do?!?

Admittedly those randos that were running past the gym could have helped out, but I digress.

And still fuck Beckett.

I honestly (and sadly) don’t think they are going to make Maya captain again. I think they’re gearing Andy up for that. And maybe even a surprise turn of events and make it Theo.

But at this point I just want Maya happy and healthy. And Beckett burning in an inferno - literally or figuratively.

But don’t get it twisted. Maya will always be il mio capitano.
