FUCK man you did so good with this???? Like there's so much that can be studied from this, this really was a social experiment it wasn't just a silly name. I mean look at what happened, look what you did?? You set up a situation in which the "happy ending" was literally killing someone and we fucking did it. And not only did we do it once, we did it MULTIPLE TIMES.
It's a statement piece on the nature of humanity, how some of us will deny our involvement in GL Ranboo's death and others will accept it, how some of us can process what our actions brought and others can't. I mean hell, the presence of escape au's shows that we're struggling to accept what we did to him, even though he asked for it.
Each side of the choice has to deal with their own unique morality questions as well. If you chose live, were you hoping he could be saved or were you acting out of selfishness? Did you want him to live because of emotional attachment or because your desire for content outweigh the desires of those creating it? Will you put someone through acute suffering simply for your own gain? If you chose die, did you believe it was the right choice or were you simply following instructions? Did you believe you were showing mercy or did you believe you have the right to decide for him? Does choosing die mean that you have the ability to kill someone, so long as they're removed from you through the distance of a screen?
I haven't gone a single day since this came out without thinking about it and I am SO excited to see where it goes
