the utility of masks still being a debate to this day when wearing masks as a courtesy has been present in other countries for decades is the one thing that will still make me seethe when this is all ‘over’. government inaction will always be the reason that the virus has debilitated and killed as many people as it has but the almost childlike refusal to engage in the most inoffensive precautions (even ‘wash your hands’) during the first few months when the virus hit the us/canada because it wasn’t ‘proven’ to work was frustrating.
