Introduction

I started writing these letters to my baby girl while I was pregnant, and still continue to write them today. This was the first- the first time I realized she was kicking 💖 ********** 7.22.14 Letters To Bernadette I felt you kick today. I've been feeling a little thumping in my tummy, and wondered if it was you. It's very strange to feel you. Up until this point, you have only been an idea to me. So, I guess that today was the first time all of this felt real. I am so excited to meet you! All of this really makes me wish my mom was here to share this experience with me. It breaks my heart that you will never get to know your grandma. My sweet baby, I promise to always tell you about her and all of the times we laughed, cried, fought, and most of all- how much we loved each other.

Bernadette Amelia

A little bit about Bernadette- She was born December 9th- Ten days past her due date. I was induced at 5am Monday, and she was born (after an emergency C-section) at 1:38am on Tuesday. Having a C-section was the last thing I wanted, but after 22 hours I was only 6cm dilated and her heart rate was beginning to drop. She was 7lbs 14oz, 19in long and healthy in every way.

She is currently six months old and the cutest damn thing I’ve ever seen! Things she’s liking: Xbox controller My iPhone Rolling all around Babbling and screaming Jumperoo My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: Rainbow Rocks (she’s obsessed!)
