“Smashed it into a rock? How did that happen?” She asked, a defined furrowing of her brows as she looks over the mutants whole person, scoping to see if there was anything else that was wrong. Before she could even answer his query, she felt herself being pulled along. Kanaya let Karkat take her with little to no protest. Well, none at all actually. The sound of water was nice, had her hoping she’d get this migrane to clear up. That’s what it must have been, dehydration! How long was she out for, gosh. “I think I am alright.” A pause, “To be honest I’m not sure how long I was out for.”
Almost forgetting about her second placed question, the space player found her fingers lacing in with Karkat’s. His hands felt warm, comforting even. That thought was shattered when he spoke again, however. So he didn’t have a clue either. But given that Karkat said it’s not too bad, it must be actually quite a nice place for the most part, at least now. “How long have you been here?” Though it hadn’t struck her they probably arrived at the same time. He looked like he’s traveled more than not.
Careful, Kanaya stepped over small rocks and spouts, not wanting anything close to another fall. It was when she looked over to Karkat that the trickling of water came to her ears, though it was quite. They must be close! This in mind, Kanaya smiled to herself and gave a small nod. Things are okay. Everything would be alright.
Karkat sighed softly as he led Kanaya up to a fresh water spring. Guess he had to explain how he hurt himself as well. Trouble is, he wasn't exactly certain what happened between the time of the crash and waking up. "I don't know. I think I just fell onto it or something extremely asinine."
Well, at least she wasn't hurt, well at least too terribly. The rainbow drinker wouldn't be randomly falling over if she was perfectly fine after all.Unfortunately for him, he didn't have the know how, or the nose, to pick out any plant life to use as medicine. Sometime he may have to get Terezi to sit down and tell him what plant does what considering how easily she used the right plants to help heal his injuries. At least he knew enough that chewing on one would help ease stomach pain.
Feeling Kanaya's fingers lace together with his own, the knight glanced down at their intertwined hands for a moment before continuing on to the little stream. After a beat, he squeezed her hand gently as if to reassure her that everything would be alright.
"I don't know how long I have been here. It feels like I've been here for far too fucking long though." All he wanted to do was curl up in his recuperacoon and find that this whole mess was just a horrible, never ending nightmare. A very scarring, horrifying nightmare that will leave a lasting impression for years to come. "I think I've only been wandering around for a few hours though."
While Kanaya was graceful and managed to step over several of the obstacles that started to appear in their way, Karkat was definitely not. He tripped and stumbled many times, swearing loudly after each near tumble to the ground. Unintentionally he started to squeeze her hand a little harder, afraid that if he let go he would actually fall and hurt himself even more than before. Seeing the clear water babble along its rocky bed, he let out a little sigh of relief. Apparently walking was too big of a task for him to handle right now. Some rest would do him some good. "Here we are. Drink as much water as you need."
