How to Tell if Your Ancestors Owned Slaves
1. Are you a white person descended from other white people?
Yes? Well then they owned slaves. Shut up about your G-pa being a civil rights activist.
Test Over
No they didnt
News flash retard: not all white people were slave owners. Hell some black people owned slaves too.
A low percentage of white people owned slaves.Â
But regardless, I love how black people get so salty about slavery when their people are the ones that sold âem to us in the first place. Blame your own G-pa.
A low percentage? Oh you sweet thing - I meant more than just the white Amercian. So quick to pull that âthe africans were sold by their own peopleâ card. Also assuming Iâm black and only talking about black people when I say âslavesâ is more than a little⌠presumptuous. Better watch that - itâs not your best shade.
Lesson, lesson - hereâs the lesson: slavery still exists today. Just because itâs illegal doesnât mean itâs over. Just because youâre in denial doesnât mean it didnât happen
Yeah slavery still exists in Africa.
Dear OP:
Shut the fuck up.
OP: IF YOUâRE WHITE YOUR ANCESTORS OWNED SLAVES
Rational people: Not every white person was a slave owner
OP: SLAVERY STILL EXISTS TODAY
What does that have to do with whether or not my ancestors owned slaves? Nice goalpost moving.
Iâm gonna be honest - I just wanted watch people lose their shit. No matter how you reply theyâre so butt hurt over the fact you dared write anything damning about their precious ancestors.
Itâs been fun
yikes

i lose my shit every time i remember that thereâs a female yoda named yaddle
every time i see this post i feel inclined to point out that not only did she exist, but in the expanded universe, when she was only a padawan, she survived over a century in an underground torture chamber using only the force and a wooden stick. she literally became one with the force because she had nothing better to do and the only reason she died was because anakin skywalker got himself captured and she had to absorb a bioweapon into herself to save an entire planet. also she liked to sneak sweets into younglingâs cloaks

whoa canada
someone needs to turn down that sass level
Two things to know about Canada!
We are smart enough to know hot things should be hot.
We are sorry if you donât
A few things you need to know about this hot coffee case:
It wasnât an issue of the coffee being because no fucking shit coffee is hot, but McDonaldâs had over heated their water to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Thatâs 121C. Not just hot, but really FUCKING hot. Your fancy Starbucks lattes are brewed to 150 degrees.
The 79 year old woman had this cup of 250F (121C) coffee between her legs when it spilled so 250F (121C) coffee spilled on her genitals
She got third degree burnsâŚon her genitals. THIRD DEGREE.
She had to have skin grafts to repair the damage
When she sued McDonaldâs, it wasnât for millions of dollars, it was for $20,000 to cover hospital costs and court fees. 20-fucking-thousand.
It was the courts that awarded her the amount of money she got. Again, she only wanted hospital bills and court costs
McDonaldâs changed their heating policy, but not before making her sign a gag order keeping her from talking about this case
So she had to live on hearing little shits like you call her stupid and money-grubbing, and other horrendous stuff because she dared ask the company in the wrong to fix what they fucked up.
MORE FUN FACTS:
9. The woman who was burned was not driving the car, she was a passenger.
10. The car was not in motion when she was burned. The car was parked so she could add cream and sugar.
The coffee case is one of the biggest examples of a carefully-crafted smear campaign by a company that is in the wrong trying to hide that.
Additionally, several people had been badly burned by McDonaldâs coffee prior to that case, both employees and customers, and McDonaldâs had been fined and told to lower the heat of their coffee. They refused to lower the coffeeâs heat, continuing to serve a product they KNEW from EXPERIENCE was dangerous, because they could.
When she was burned, she reached out to McDonaldâs for them to cover her medical expenses. They sent her a coupon booklet as a big eff yuu.
She required skin grafts not just on her genitals but on her thighs, buttocks, and I think stomach. Like, it was a lot of skin grafts! And did you know that skin grafts donât always take? She was very severely hurt by a product that McDonaldâs knew for a FACT was dangerous.
But nah, go on talking about how she was just foolish and greedy, thatâs obviously the case, big corporations have all of our best interest in heart, really they do.
Her name was Stella Liebeck. She has since passed away but I think itâs important to name the victim in this story. Her name was Stella Liebeck and the coffee was so hot that it fused her labia together. It melted her genitals closed. But itâs all just a giant joke, huh?
Yes to all of this, and I want to add that this was not just some random case that so happened to come to national attention.
The MDâs coffee case was a poster case for the republican/conservative agenda of âtort reform.â The entire concept of tort reform or âweâve got to reign in all these frivolous lawsuits!â was completely invented by large corporations and the politicians who serve them in order to drum up support for laws that would limit consumersâ abilities to hold large companies responsible for damage caused by their products.
The scheme worked brilliantly, and your average American citizen is now far less protected from harm by corporations than they were before. Public opinion also shifted sharply during the tort reform days, with more people feeling suspicious of lawsuits brought by individuals against corporations.
You can find pictures of Liebeckâs injuries online these days. I donât recommend them, but they are horrific.
Iâm so glad people hopped to defend her because I was about to go offâŚ.
