👾 The wild beasts of the world. v.1. London: T. C. & E. C. Jack, [1909?] Original source Image description: Illustration of a clouded leopard resting on a thick tree branch in a dense forest. The leopard has distinct dark, irregular cloud-like markings on its golden-brown fur and a long, curving tail. Its body is stretched along the branch with its head lowered, alert and gazing downward. The background features muted green foliage and intertwining branches, emphasizing the leopard’s natural habitat. The artwork is detailed, capturing the texture of the fur and the environment, signed by artist C. E. Swan, from an early 20th-century publication on wild beasts.
