Thit and Jon, two Cambodian lads who worked at the roadside restaurant in front of my building here in Ban Phe. I saw them on a almost daily basis for more than two years. Both were charming and handsome in their own way, and always ready to offer a smile or greeting despite working 12-14 hour days. Their pay was appallingly low. Sadly, though not surprisingly, they both eventually moved on. We remain in meager contact these days, mostly via Facebook... but there is a tremedous language barrier that hinders any real communication. I loved both of them dearly, like younger brothers, and miss them very much. Ban Phe, Thailand. 3/16
