Crossroad
I almost tripped, You almost fell, Destiny almost wanted us Destiny almost tied us, Our love was almost to endless But then we almost didn’t realise that we need to go different paths on this crossroad Now we’re standing on this crossroad again wearing the same old smile we used to share the most But now it was different Each of our smiles held a bitter sweet scar of our once exchanged love, it was the scar we hid for so long Now i stare at the woman’s hand intertwined with yours telling me that our love ended on that crossroad where everything had began. I smiled and gave you the heart that you left with me but I must say my sorry because I filled it with my tears and sorrow the day you walked to the other side of this crossroad telling me that you’d come back to mend my hopelessly broken heart. I should’ve trailed this crossroad a long time ago before everything Before I fell Before I tripped Before I cared Before I loved. Now i crawl on this crossroad looking for a heart that would shelter me from the rain and hold me through it. But i know one day hope will come and restore my heart from the lightning that stroke it to death; once my heart is restored it will never be stroke again.
