Hello hello! This is an rp blog for Groudon from Pokemon Ruby/Emerald, (heavily affiliated with @journcys and @soraozon ). I am Rain (they/them), older than 20, have been writing on tumblr for 10 years almost :D Please know that I am anti-harassment and refuse to partake in fandom drama. I am a tad slow with my replies/threads atm, but feel free to IM me if you would like to plot! Thank you so much checking out my blog :D (Also on @emmetrain & @ingovercast & @sadaolim )

Multiship. Multiverse. Affiliated with @journcys AND @soraozon , as he is Marea’s/Kyogre’s big brother and Rayquaza/Loki's biggest headache.

My replies may be slow. Feel free to take your time as well. If I see possessive behavior from muns over my time and my muse, I may block without warning.

My groudon is canon divergent and is written as a human-like being with godly powers. He can be caught like a Pokemon, but other than that, he is not a Pokemon. Treat him as human when we talk ooc (it’s OK for muses to assume he is a Pokemon however). 

Feel free to tell me if you want anything changed in my replies or want something to be tagged. Please tell me if there is any issues we can solve. 

No-nos: Vague blogging. Portrayal shaming. Callouts over fiction (unless it is actual harassment). Policing what others are writing. If you repeatedly bring me drama when I want none of it, it will earn a hard-block. Thank you. Block-evading is not allowed.

NAME: Groudon, Daichi

TITLE: Continent Pokémon, God of the Earth, Legendary Pokemon (he has qualms with anything Pokemon title–he is a deity, thank you.)

JOB: He is done, alright? He made the continents. Now there are humans? And there is also that brother of his who brought unnecessary water bodies to his earth. He is tired. WHO NEEDS WATER OF THAT AMOUNT? Nothing important lives there? Why does Kyogre exist anyway? To be pain in his neck?

AGE: Here since the very beginning. Never had managed to grow up, so in human years, he would be considered early 20s.

GENDER: Genderfluid. Mostly male-presenting, but has been known both as Lady of  Land AND Lord of Ground.

PRONOUNS: mainly he/him. Depends on the day and how he presents himself. (For his family, he opts for he/him.)

ORIENTATION: He has no idea.

ETHNICITY: Japanese/Hispanic

HEIGHT: 7'4 (2.3 meters :) )

LIKES: FIRE. EARTH. DECAY. MUSIC. flowers. his family. (He likes sneaking into human concerts or bars, and learning the drums.) humans’ alternative fashion.

DISLIKES: WATER. TRAVELLING. Uptight people. Team Magma and Team Aqua.

HOBBIES: Playing drums. Dancing. Singing. (Killing anyone who would tell this to his brothers, for all they know, he is sleeping.) Studying criminals like bugs.Bothering Marea.

FAMILY: Loki/Rayquaza (His older brother, soraozon ), Marea/Kyogre (His younger brother, journcys ).

BASIC INFO

NEVER WANTED TO BE THE MIDDLE CHILD. Once upon a time, there were three super-ancient Pokemon. Well, there used to be two. Groudon had been used to that dynamic, and there comes the naive Kyogre, whose only purpose seems to be to against everything Groudon is. Groudon is a kid with an ant farm, making continents and watching the many creatures that started to live upon it. However, there is this better brother of his, making oceans and seas, taking away from where land could be.

ARGUMENTS. Groudon’s perfect world was destroyed with Kyogre’s arrival. What was wrong with only land? Groudon does not care to listen–his way had worked, and KYOGRE SHOULD LISTEN. The dinosaur and the whale had been at each other’s throats since the start.

HYPOCRISY. Groudon, unlike his siblings, found himself to close to humans. The worshippers, however, did not revere him when he showed up as a human, with disorderly clothes and brash personality. He was no different from a street thug, so he accepted that, watching humans from the side while they avoided him at all costs. 

SHAPESHIFTER. Like he shaped the continents, he could shape his form. Sometimes, he would appear as an old man, sometimes a lady, other times just a man. His from that took back then was of a child, who ended up getting semi-adopted by an old woman of a village. 

JEALOUSY. He started to experience the world and learn about the land and the sea from the human viewpoint. And, to his dismay, he learned his younger brother, Kyogre, was also walking among humans. But he was a man. And he even “loved” a human. Groudon was both worried and jealous, since he never seemed to grow up, but Kyogre… no. Marea did. Marea was everything he hoped he could be. Loved by everyone. Mature. And so naive. He argued many times for Marea to give up on this dream. And hid his own ties to the humans.

ANGER. He would still sneak to live the childhood humans lived. He would bring the sunny days and warmth for the crops so that the old woman would have enough to eat. He was learning, growing.. Until one day, over an argument that he does not even remember now, he WENT UP IN FLAMES. The flames spread to the old woman, and though the injuries were not severe, Groudon ran away and never looked back.

He went up to Marea to change his mind, to show him being with humans only caused trouble. That playing human was stupid– HOWEVER. It did not end well. Groudon was too argumentative. Brash. Loud. FURIOUS. And he tipped Marea, who caused the floods that would kill Marea’s wife. 

TRAGEDY. Groudon never knew Marea’s family as much as he should. But he grieved Suiji, and felt responsible for causing Marea such blinding, overwhelming anger. HE WOULD NEVER ADMIT IT, but he always blamed himself for the accident. So, when Kyogre/Marea went into a slumber, Groudon took his millennia long depression nap too.

"Happy Eeeve day. Just wanted to say... Uhhh... No ground Eeveelution is my fault actually, since my name is trademarked and 'Groudeon' wasn't meant to be. My apologies."

Don't mind the little shiny Eeeve soaking up the sun behind him. Groudon is not trying to evolve them into a ground pokemon. Nope. No experiments here.

It felt as though he was talking in circles; the fact that the other was not understanding anything that came from Marea—no—Kyogre’s lips, another rage filled roar vibrating stone walls and causing a loud boom of thunder to sound over the region. Teeth clench and jaw tightens once more a she watches his brother be hit by attacked fuelled with such rage. Something tugs at the back of his mind; as if a child’s plea for him to stop; and he pauses for a moment as he has his own mental battle with himself.

‘Stop hurting our brother!’ The voice rings in his mind.

‘He is not our brother anymore.’ He replies, before his hands glow blue once more, ready to send off another origin pulse; his head held high as he glares down past his nose at Daichi; weak and pitiful, nose wrinkling as the glow starts to grow brighter. “All of these centuries of doing nothing but belittling me, breaking me down to where I thought of myself as nothing—and now you claim to care? You claim to want to save everything around you?” He scoffs. “You’re just trying to save yourself. You…are so selfish. You have always been selfish and your selfish ways are why this place—my home—will be your grave.”

His voice was eerily calm; the light grows—about to be set off and end this sibling rivalry after a millennia. However , there’s a golden, green hue light that appears above the ocean god; and from the beam comes several other beams mixed with green, purple and red—ripping through Marea’s form and causing golden eyes to grow wide.

JUDGEMENT: The user releases countless shots of light at the target. GRASS PLATE ENABLED: Extra damage will be done to Water Types.

“Enough.”

The voice echoes from the cavern; something akin to a portal opens; and they, the All Creator steps out as Kyogre drops to the ground; HP spent; state unconscious. The storm had stopped. The clouds slowly start to part, and the waters seem to calm almost instantly.

There’s a wrinkle of the nose, a shake of the head. Oh, how this child had gotten out of hand…white hair, tied back flows behind them as though it was levitating, and their red gaze flickers to Daichi briefly before back down to the defeat ocean god, lifting Marea with ease as another portal opens; the Sky Pillar visible before Arceus gives one more glance to the Earthen god before carrying Marea’s form through the portal; having it close behind them as quickly as it had appeared.

There was hesitation, when there should have been none. Daichi never wanted to admit it, but he did caused all this pain to Marea. All the tragedies since their existence had Daichi to blame. Marea deserved better. Much better. So, he needed not to hesitate with his attacks.

On the other hand, the human side of Daichi was liking this development, actually. Please no more fighting and near-death encounter shying away from full-on, prophetic death. His arms still burnt with the SCALD, and all the attacks had worn him down. He wanted to rest, to slumber for another millennia till everything could stop hurting.

To his human side's dismay, and Groudon's acceptance, the uncomfortably familiar attack was recognized with the full horror of its implication.

"I thought of myself as nothing."

And now Daichi claimed to care indeed. He clutched his chest as the realization of how deep the damage went, how much he hurt Marea shook him to his core. One more chance. One more chance to apologize and make things right. If there was anyone listening, Daichi needed one more chance.

He couldn't let this era end with Marea hurting and blaming himself wrongly for what his older brother did. The one who should have protected him. They were supposed to be a team.

He watched the light grow, though every fibre of his being screamed out.

If anyone was listening...

Golden eyes closed for the last time. Time stopped. The energy did not feel familiar anymore.

One more chance.

The echo snapped him back to the present instead of the prison of his panic, and he caught the glimpse of the creator. The ONE who Daichi would never expect to intervene.

"Marea!" Daichi called out. He wanted to move to catch his brother. Couldn't. His body would not obey his orders. Tears burnt his eyes and he gritted his teeth to the ONE before them.

"Where are you--" Sky Pillar. The ONE is taking Marea to the sky pillar.

The portal closed, and the glances were never met. Daichi did not dare to look into the other directly.

Now alone in the cave with his thoughts, he fell to his knees.

"Marea... I am sorry..."

"Really? You shouldn't have to beg."

It was really an odd thought, having to beg the elements that made up the world for anything. Yuri had no trouble simply asking for things here and there, but maybe it was because she did it so sparingly? She'd always been weirdly blessed, so perhaps it was one type of hardship she'd never come to know, to make up for all the horrors she was in constant contact to.

The world taking pity on her, the descendant of the Cresselia murdered by her Darkai lover, cursed since birth.

Yuri thought on Daichi's words a bit, still boggling on how things had come to be for him. She could sense immense divine power in him -- what she could glimpse with her special eyes said he was no normal person with divinity in him, but she couldn't see much further. Which meant he had a great patron, similar to her, or he was a great patron of some kind.

Not that it was her business, but it was quite the curiosity.

"I was born out of love, too...or I'd like to think I was. I hope I was born out of love...it'd be...too sad if I wasn't..." The words were quiet and unsure, but Yuri did her best to maintain a gentle expression. She shouldn't burden a stranger with her old worries. The recent events that revealed her actual parentage was still stinging her somewhat, still stabbed at her heart. It was best not to think to hard on it and keep on believing what she did.

Her world might crumble if she didn't. She was able to justify her own existence by saying she did exist -- she'd been wanted.

Now, was Daichi wanted? What could he have done to make the land mad at him? So curious. A mystery...

She smiled when he said the land was meant to be enjoyed by everyone, so she said, "You're part of 'everyone', too. So, you should take your time and enjoy the world as well. Whether you're alone or with someone...you should enjoy the life you've been given, you know? Even when things get hard or tough. If you're alive, you can still see things, do things....life is beautiful that way, Daichi-san."

Daichi snickered. "Well, earth got my back, but water and sky? Not so much. The former is my doing. I never liked that it took from the land, and... I guess never admitted that it was giving life to the world around us. I saw it as a parasite, and now it does not matter if I change my mind. The damage is done." He had ruined Marea's self-confidence. He was painfully aware of it in the recent times.

The words, and the hesitation, told him everything he needed to know—that he should not pry when she had a fresh wound about it. As skewed as it could be, his judgment allowed for space to talk about his existence. "I don't know if I was wanted. My position was needed. But anyone could have filled it. This, however, does not mean I will allow an usurper." A brief chuckle as he tuned into the power within. "The way you have come to earth matters not. The earth loves you. It does not offer flowers to unloveable strangers."

The kindness offered to him proved that this human would keep surprising him over and over again. He sighed, a small smile on his face that he turned his head away to hide, hands in pockets.

The smile disappeared as his heart ached with the weight of his actions.

"Your definition of everyone and land's definition might not be the same. I have.... I have caused hurt all my existence. I have.... I have done terrible things to a young soul who only wanted to give life. I caused terrible tragedies. Your kindness should find its home. The land I left behind is a scorched graveyard of hopes. An exception to the rule." He pressed his lips into a thin line and turned away.

"Life is beautiful indeed, Yuri-san. You deserve to enjoy it. Your kind too. Humans has made this world their home. They have surpassed the many creators. Some legends are better forgotten."

"With brothers like these, who need enemies?"

"It's me. I need enemies. Fight me-"

With everything that she had done and seen, Yuri rarely ever got surprised. Moreso surprised and delighted!

"Well, not so much the rescue -- I'm used to being rescued -- it's being carried like a princess -- that's something I never had done for me before."

It was a weird dream, but then again, she was a weird woman. What sort of hopes and dreams did a maiden of the moon who served the goddess of sweet dreams have? Mundane things, like this. Things normal people often forgot to appreciate. Yuri was used to being the one running off to help people, to rescue them, to being the one who was strong and noble...so she kind of wanted to be the weak one, the one protected, even if she sometimes fought it a lot.

Poor Elrick...protecting her until the very end. The crazy old photographer. Man she missed her old guardian.

Shaking her head she accepted the lily, her namesake. It was such a pretty flower and she felt blessed to have been named after something so lovely.

"You know sometimes apologies can't wait. I can make flowers grow sometimes, not as fast as you, but if I pray enough, I once made an area inside a desert fill with lilies like this. Do you know how flowers grow? When you can get water, earth and sky to get along -- a flower is born from their love." Really, her affinity was with water, thanks to her ancient ancestor who favoured water over anything else. Much like how she had cousins who were great with fire, wind...

She crouched to the ground and pressed her hand to the ground and murmured her prayers, her praise, her wishes and hope, asking the earth and the waters nearby, for a little gift. Underneath her hand, much slower to come, a few flowers sprouted, lilies like the one Daichi had grown, though with a slight silvery tint to them. Yuri plucked one and offered it back to Daichi.

"One for you!" She placed the one he gave her behind and ear and before he could do anything, she jumped up and quickly placed the one she'd made into his head of red hair. "Now we match!"

"I have no se course. Right now I am just travelling for a little break. I didn't really get to live my life before -- I went all over the world but never actually SAW it, you know?"

Daichi scratched his chin, thinking for a moment. "Yeah, I will carry the next person I help like a potato sack. Got it." He snickered, glancing at the other. "Thanks. I can be a little slow to get stuff, so much appreciated." After all, Marea had been out there blending with humans to the point he had a family and now descendants he was close to, while Daichi did not even know much about the band members he played with every night.

"For me, being in need of a rescue means bad things will happen. Someone is going to be pissed out of his mind and wreck shit up trying to cover for me and make up for my mistake. One moment is all it takes... One stupid, vulnerable moment, and everything comes crashing down." He shrugged, as if the weight of the world on his shoulders did not crush him. "So... I guess I like it. You are from a different world than my own. You don't fear deus ex machina as much as I fear it. Everything has a price in mine... I can't afford that shit."

A huff left him, playful. "You are wise. Like someone I know, but on a good day." Marea could be as dumb as him on other days. "Apologies gotta wait when I can't bring those words together. It feels like catching a falling knife. The day I learned that was the day I hated being human." Which was, ninety percent suffering and being uncomfortable, so far. How did mortals do it? At the explanation of flowers, Daichi shook his head. "You can't get water, earth and sky to get along. They hate each other. The way I do it, I am just begging my buddy earth to sneak some of other elements for me."

Daichi crouched down as he watched the other do her magic, not interrupting or helping. There he had been, thinking he would surprise the other. Now he was the one surprised to see all the sweet words flowing into the wishes coming true. The gentle, knowledgeable way this human could get the elements to grant her wishes. The flowers, albeit few, were impressive for the short amount she had spent asking.

Who was this human?

The surprises did not end there. The way the other jumped into action to set the pretty flower behind his ear made his cheeks burn. "Now we match..." Awestruck, the words escaped him. He took the offered flower gently, turning the stem between his fingers to see the silvery tint shine on the beloved gift. "It is born out of love, you said... It does feel warm. Different than what I am used to. Who do you have to thank for knowing the way of flowers like you do?" He set the flower back behind his hair, giggling.

Standing up, slightly slouched over, Daichi listened, a small smile on his face. "I know. I have--..." Created every land there was, and there would be. But the topic was unpleasant to open. "I have been around. I never got to enjoy it. Maybe I am not supposed to. I dunno." He grunted. "I hope you will enjoy it. You find love in very curious places. The land you tread was made with love too... For everyone to enjoy."

"Daichi-san." She couldn't help some kind of formality, yet there was an obvious playfulness in how Yuri referred to him. Like she heard him, but wanted to tease a little. Would he notice? Yuri's face spoke volumes on the mischief she was weaving in her politeness.

There was just something about him that made her want to be a little more relaxed in her demeanour. If only because he requested it.

"Hmm...as a young lady, I should probably mad at you for taking away my first time being carried like that. A lot of girls dream of getting rescued and saved like that, you know? But it's okay." She gave him a little wink. "I'll forgive you this time! Since you saved me and all."

"I'm Yuri! Like the flower!"

He stuck his tongue out at the playful formality offered to him, but it did help him to ease despite the uncertainty of any human interaction. The skills he lacked in socialization was weighing heavy on his mind... Yet, he was happy to be around for now. A shy smile, he offered, before looking away.

Oh. "You dreamed about that? I didn't know it was a big deal... I guess when you have no god to pray to, you dream much less." He shrugged, apologetic as he fumbled with his hands. "Sorry. Thanks for forgiving.. Though it really escapes me. I know people look forward to their first kiss and whatnot, but rescues too?"

Daichi paused at the mention, his connection to land scouting for the flower "Yuri", till the beautiful flower materialized in his expanded vision. He crouched down and pressed his hand onto the soil, warmth from his hand offered to the surprise as his golden eyes and his fingertips glowed. A plant was brough forth, blossoming into the pretty namesake. Daichi picked one of the flowers, offering it to young lady. "Like the flower... Please accept this as an apology. I used to be able to create flower fields... I guess the earth is mad at me." He let out a breath. "Tch. I should make it up to it. But it can wait."

"So... where are you heading now, if I may ask, Yuri-san?"

Well, this was certainly a lot of vague information to take in. It wasn't like she hadn't dealt with Alola's own 'monsoon season'. So she did know the dangers involved with that. But there was other bits of information that did create a record scratch in her head.

"Whoa.. Hold up. What do you mean -he- can actually kill people?. It's a storm. Not like I haven't been through those threats before..." she questioned with a hint of stubbornness.

"Are you telling me that Mar is causing -this-? Though hmm, I shouldn't be too surprised," she added placing her rotom phone back in her pocket. Perhaps she was being vague and yet too revealing herself?

"I mean, being raised at a place like Aether you some really weird shit going on there, you know? Especially if you spend enough time in the labs.... It's funny you referred to myself as 'You humans'" she mused at Daichi.

"Storms can be deadly. It is also born out of a wrath of a very powerful, ancient god. It will not be like anything you are used to." He shrugs. "Not to underestimate your experience. This one is a crazy event no mortal should be involved in."

"Tch... That's Kyogre for you. God of the sea. Unless you know him?" Arms crossed as he listened. "My fault. I did not intend to get him mad, but I guess... I opened quite a sensitive topic... Without permission."

Oh. "Aether? I heard they were protecting the enviroment and stuff..? Enlighten me, if you could, please?" Also, he looks away at Lynn catching on his blunder. "Well... I want to be human. I am not. I do not belong with either the gods or the humans, so it has been... weird. Not the fun kind of weird either."

"I mean, I don't blame you if you're not from around here."

At the question of why they liked the water creatures that much he simply shrugs.

Ah... So... Was that confirmation of them not being quite fully human anymore? That's... Huh. They had figured that was the case ever since the Pokérus, but to keep hearing it confirmed was still weird.

"You don't belong with either...? What do you mean? And yeah, it was a gift, technically. But my body could barely handle it at first. Almost didn't make it. Now? I kinda like it, I must say." He continues walking, moving more inwards into the town.

"I am from everywhere and nowhere. How to tell you this... I have built all buildings, but own none. Something like that." He kicks a rock on the ground, frowning. "So, I am not from here, but I have base familiarity."

He hums in acknowledgement, though it was questionable if the situation was understood. For the oldest of the gods, he was quite... behind with all divine sub-powers. "It seems cruel and inconsiderate. I could fight them for you. I mean, it is a fight I would win, maybe unfairly so." The type-advantage would make Daichi uncomfortable to take on them, but fighting was a good way to get a message across. "Sorry that you had to go through that."

There is a pause before the hesitation finally allows. "My other name is in one of the legends, so to say. I had been away though. No heroic deeds for a millenia. I can still intervene if something bad was to happen, however." A bitter chuckle. "I would rather not be needed. A normal human life seems more appealing... If that would ever work out."

"What was being human like? ... Or how is it? Do you still consider yourself human?"

"Oh? But why would you hate water?" Lynn asked. The ambient glow from her rotom phone app still humming with weather report updates.

The question itself felt genuine. As for her deliveries, "I feel like I'll let people down though if I can't make get their things to them. Like they say..'rain, snow, or shine'" she added pffting out small laugh.

"Personal grudges and shit. Don't worry about it." He shrugged, trying to hide how much the topic bothered him.

"Your life is worth more than a delivery. You humans understand that, don't you? This is not just rain, snow or shine. It is a real threat. Mar' can end up killing people if you lot do not evacuate and stay clear of the storm." He turns his head away. "He does not deserve to mourn one more death. He suffered enough."

"Uhm, yeah. Tapu Koko shares it." They nod, giving an uncomfortable chuckle and a shrug.

"Well, if you don't like seafood we better stay away from the restaurants near the beach. And yeah, I got some time."

Hau nods, before gesturing the other to follow him.

"It's nice to meet you too, Daichi— Uh, hehe. Straight to the point, huh? Well, I guess I can tell you, since you feel... similar, in a way. Does that make sense...? ...Anyway— Tapu Koko blessed me a year ago. That's how I ended up with these."

"Hmm. Yeah, that must be the name. I don't know them much." Did he know anyone? Even his siblings felt like strangers to him, with the walls he built around his heart. This Hau seemed uncomfortable with the name alone, so it must have been bad, right?

"They have only seafood at the beach? Why? Why do they like the water creatures that much? They all seem so dumb. Take Magikarp, for example." Daichi follows, slouched down with a spine-killing posture.

"Similar, yeah. I am looking for my own place. It's... lonely. Not to belong with the gods or the humans alike." He shrugged, listening to the other.

"Blessing. You are out of luck with that one. I have no idea how blessing works. Isn't it supposed to be a gift? You don't seem thrilled." Wouldn't it be a curse instead? Daichi was more interested in curses anyway, though he had no luck cursing Maxie. Maybe one day...

The cave vibrates from the other, though it barely does much. At nose, Marea shifts his feet slightly to better ground himself, thought now the confines area felt much too warm for his liking as the heat evaporated the rain he created within these walls. Everything that his so called brother did was to squash him beneath his foot—Marea believed that the other wanted him gone—that Groudon would not be the one to die…

But Kyogre would, instead.

His eyes widen slightly as the solar beam comes towards him and his arms are brought up to block it; though his skin burns from the heat that comes from it. A hiss leaves him as water moves around him once more; though it seems to be picking up the dirt particles from the cave floor; mixing within before his arm reaches out and it shoots towards his brother.

MUDDY WATER: The user attacks by shooting muddy water at the opposing Pokémon. This may also lower their accuracy.

“WHY DO YOU REFUSE TO GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL!?” Marea’s voice booms again; it’s getting harder to keep his form as the dark colour trails further up his skin; now being seen are watching along his feet and framing his pale face; vein like marks stopping at the edge of his face and near his eyes. Hands glow a light blue before he gives out another roar, paying no attention to screaming outside from the earthquake. The beams from his hands move quickly towards Daichi—though if he’s not careful, Marea would tire himself out at the rate he’s going.

ORIGIN PULSE: The user attacks opposing Pokémon with countless beams of light that glow a deep and brilliant blue.

“It doesn’t MATTER. You--You do not LISTEN—“ tears prick the corner of his eyes as the beams continue to project their energy towards the other; jaw so tight that it could threaten to break sharp teeth.

“WHEN WILL YOU REALIZE THAT IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT MORE THEN JUST HER!?”

Suiji was the one who picked up the pieces; the one that returned his self worth to him after the resentment of his brother. But before he had his wife; he had someone else just as special—someone who he felt was ripped away from him and replaced by the creature before him with Brutish nature and harsh words that tore the water god down & down until he was nothing.

“It matters not. I have given up on you…If you want me to stop, then end my suffering and KILL ME, GROUDON!”

Daichi looked away when the solar beam hit his brother, the hiss making his heart tremble, and shaking the city once more. Why did they have to fight? Why couldn't they just give this up? Go back to how it all used to be. Marea, happy and with his family. Daichi on his own, ever so jealous of the connection his brother had achieved.

It had all been jealousy, hadn't it? The prophecy making him feeling inadequate and weak. Marea, they youngest brother, growing up faster than Daichi himself. Always better of the two. Always the one worth of praise.

Lost in his thoughts— possibly a fatal mistake, the muddy water attack had been successful against him. The mud sticking to his face, making his vision worsen, and a panic settling in. Taking steps back as he violently wiped off his face, making it worse, a pained groan left him.

"IT'S NOT MY FAULT? I WOULD DIE IF MY SKULL WASN'T THICK?" Daichi retorted, unsure why his brother was bringing that up. Traversing the underground and lava-coated depths required his bones and body to be durable!

The origin pulse, with how preoccupied Daichi was—still trying to get the mud off his face but an impossible feat without water, caught him off guard. The beams of energy from the god of ocean hit him repeatedly, throwing him against the wall while more was coming. Another earthquake born out of his pain was unleashed on their city, from deep within.

"It's hard to fucking listen" —Daichi finally kept his footing and rose the ground to shield himself from the rest— "when you are attacking me, asshole!" His form had cracks formed on the skin, the hair glowing and heavy like red, hot basaltic lava flow, the tips going all black and ash grey, slowly spreading.

"The fuck you mean 'more than just her'?" Daichi knew he should attack and provoke the other to get done with it, but he stood there, peeking from the shield he made for himself. Eyes wide and expression almost childish. He did not get it.

Aaaand there was no explanation. Of course. His smart brother did not care for him to understand and catch up on the meaning.

"THAT WAS MY LINE. Just... Fucking stop this. All your suffering is due to losing her, is it not? I can't do shit about that. But you have your descendant and other friends, don't you? You always have friends. Everyone loves you. You are... You are the best of us. Why won't you see how perfect you are? I hate that you don't realize. If I were you, I would boast all the time about how smart and loved I was! Which, I can't even imagine how that fucking feels."

Daichi flattened the earth before him, tilting his head. Sadness ran through him.

"I don't want to fight... Loki already scared the shit out of me. They will come for you. You do not have much time. You need to stop this."

The city stilled as Daichi gained control back over his powers, but the human body he had made for himself was weak and wobbly on his feet. Most of his HP was gone, and his breathing was strained as he looked at the other.

"I only wished I was more like you. You are the reminder of everything I am not."

The child-like form causes those narrowed golden hues to widen slightly, causing the enraged least to take a step back. The deep blue colour akin to the depths of the ocean crawls farther up his arms, like darkened veins as sharp teeth clenched before another roar shook the ground and the walls of the cavern. He looks just like him—just like he did when he appeared upon this earth and saw the children play. When he created the first lake in the Hoenn region—the form that Marea remained in for a few hundred years before he grew older and stronger and continued to create the rest of the sea.

The mention of the prophecy again made a growl rumble within his chest. The water swirls around him more; but it looks as though steam is escaping it as it heats in temperature. As his brothers form is surrounded and returns the prior form of an adult, a scowl leaves his features.

“YOU. ARE. A LIAR!”

The water around him swirled with a high heat temperature as it moves towards Daichi at an alarming speed with the intention to burn him; the scalding water swirling in the air as it moves to attack the older god, as Marea steps closer and the deep blue colour of his hands stops at his shoulders. The primal marking glow brighter with his fury.

“YOU THREW ME AWAY, AND FOR WHAT? A FALSE PROPHECY? I LOOKED UP TO YOU—WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE A TEAM THAT CREATES THE EARTH TOGETHER.”

You were supposed to be my best friend. His voice echoes off of the stone walls, the water that floats around him after attacking his brother swirls to the top of the cavern and falls like the rain that fell outside.

RAIN DANCE. WATER TYPE MOVES ARE INCREASED BY 50%.

“YOU, WHO TOOK MY BROTHER AWAY AND BECAME A SELFISH FOOL. YOU, WHO WAS THE CAUSE OF MY WIFE’S DEMISE. YOU, WHO DESTROYED MY SELF WORTH.”

It was blinding, the rage. He never wanted to kill his brother. He never wanted it to end this way at all. A prophecy he knew nothing about—something that tore their relationship apart before it was 100% solidified. Before Suiji, his brothers were all he had, and with Daichi resenting him and Loki becoming colder as the centuries went on; all of that anguish had come to light.

“YOU. ARE. LYING! YOU WANTED THIS!”

Daichi kept his eyes closed. He had seen enough. The rhythm of the earth, all the life within, reverberated. He was one with his creation. He did not want to be.

He wanted to be more than that. He wanted to be human. He wanted to love like humans did.

A childish dream that would never be realized.

"I did not lie." A foreshock hit the cave, shaking it to the core. "I said things I did not mean. But this was not one of them."

Drought. Groudon has entered the battle. Groudon's Drought intensified the sun's rays! Increases the damage of Fire-type moves by 50%. Decreases the damage of Water-type moves by 50%.

Weather within the cave they were brought to life would compete, if not override, the rain his brother had brought. Intensity of the sun was felt within his fingertips, as Daichi took the hit. Did not try to dodge it. It would not be fair.

The attack scalded his form as a pained groan escaped him. The burns spread through the pale skin, as the pain registered tenfold. He gritted his teeth, growling, trying to focus on his move.

"False, you say. While we are at each other's throat once again. If you want to break away from it—SURVIVE."

Solar Beam. Instant. The way his fists glows intense gold, before the energy reaches the maximum and focused into the strike Daichi unleashed. He thrust his arms forward, the movement sending a white pain through the burns and his arms, as he fired the golden beam at Marea.

"We are both killers, Marea. We never deserved shit. WE killed Suiji. WE killed all those people. I tried to warn you, but you NEVER listened."

His eyes glowed and the power consumed as the first earthquake hits the Sootopolis City from the depths of the earth. "IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT WE WANTED. WE CAUSED IT. WE CAN'T TAKE IT BACK."

He yells it, running up to him and already starting to climb upon Groudon’s gigantic form, a hum leaving the boy a she gets to the back of the beast and sits down.

“I made it rain this morning! Did you see it? Pretty cool, huh???” ( BABIE KYOGRE TIME….)

It's the little wave again. The vast land before them still joyful with the new life bestowed upon them by the gentle rain, the clouds covering Rayquaza's sky... To think that its brother would be capable of such feat amazed Groudon. More so than the time the younger took the appearance of a human after seeing the other children playing.

Groudon grunted in greeting, and when the little one is climbing upon its back, a huff escaped it.

"I saw it." It shakes Kyogre off his back gently, and catches him onto the back of his hand. "I have never seen anything like it. The earth is happy. It feels like you have created a new kind of joy for them. A new life."

Groudon watches the earth that is made whole with Kyogre's blessing, and perhaps, realizes for the first time that he was made whole too.
