Done with the dex, time to shiny hunt some ultra beasts.

First Ultra Space shiny while looking for all the UBs for the pokedex. Now I don’t have to decide to evolve my shiny Slugma or not and use both of them to hatch eggs. Not sure what the wormhole odds are, think I’ve heard people saying 7%?

This was my team for Ultra Sun! In the order that they joined the team. Malamar and Lanturn were the stars for most of the playthrough, topsy turvy and thunderwave are very very good moves. Goodra did a lot of sweeping once she hit 50, but didn’t do too much before then. Shiinotic was the sole holder of a z-crystal so I could z-sleep powder until I got spore. The last two on the team were added very late in the game so not much to say about them. Overall it was fun, I feel like the story was worse compared to the original Sun though :/ Definately excited to start shiny hunting UBs though!

First sr hunt, and first legendary hunt. Took exactly a month of reseting and I couldn’t be happier. Caught it in a fast ball, which was a .8% chance per ball I believe. This was super fun to hunt so I’ll probably do another legendary hunt whenever I play through my copy of heartgold.

Super quick hunt for this adorable guy. Doesn’t have the pickup ability so I might hunt it again but still adorable so I’m happy. Makes me feel better about my last hunt that took three phases with two Pansears.

Decided to start counting the encounters for each phase instead of adding them all together as I have been. So not only was this pretty slime over double odds, but was the third phase of this hunt. Luckily though it has the right ability so I can use it to hatch eggs quicker!

Phase 2 of my hunt for Slugma. I don’t like Pansear much so kinda dissapointed to get a second one. Also started counting encounters seperately per phase so this phase was over odds.

Star evolved today as I overleveled her. But she wasn’t running away from pokemon 4 levels behind her consistently so here we are. Still haven’t done the second gym because I want to get a pokemon from Virbank before moving on.

Guess this makes for the first phase of this hunt. Started this safari looking for both Sneasel and Snorunt, but this makes for my second Sneasel

Was hunting this safari with a Snorunt more in mind but I love Sneasel’s shiny as well. Super quick hunt and hopefully I will get a Snorunt just as fast.

Can’t believe I got so lucky with the start of my shiny quest. I was honestly expecting to hit at least 3,000 encounters before getting a shiny. Even better that I hit my target, Patrat, instead of Purrlion since Patrat is going to be way better for catching future shinies.

This has easily been my quickest hunt. Spent all that time getting pokemon with recycle and bestow so I could chain for a long time and in the end I didn’t need more than about 20 turns. Going to use Sabba here to catch pokemon that don’t call for help since he won’t have a move to K.O. with.

Amazing luck considering the shiny Forrtress only about 30 encounter behind this one. Not sure if I’ll ever use her (she’s named Spike btw) since I didn’t realize you have to breed for egg moves for a good moveset but I’ve always liked Ferrothorn so whatever.

Was hunting for Ferroseed but this guy is cool too. Pretty early compared to some of my recent hunts too.

Not my target for this hunt but still pretty. Since I wasn’t hunting this I wasn’t ready for the whirlwind but for some reason it kept failing anyways (god bless).

White 2 Shiny Quest

So I decided to do a variant of the shiny badge quest since I didn’t want to soft reset for the starter or have to hunt at certain stages of the game. Instead the only rule I’m following this playthrough is that I can only use shiny pokemon besides the beginning with the starter. So basically I will have a very limited team that is very dependant on my luck and patience as I play through.
