Was gonna originally make this a writers thingy, got burnt out half through and now it’s just silly stuff I post - (ironically my irl name isn’t daisy, it’s technically sam) (p.s I’m a little bit of a crackhead) (she/they)
Guys if I wrote a book would you guys want an audio book version? I got published in a local library book lately and I’d love to share it, but it has my full legal dead name, so I’d rather give something where I don’t have to be tied to it. I’ll figure out how to upload the Audible later. Is there interest?
Transphobia is about to be signed into law in the UK. We can fight this.
I am begging the UK trans community and its allies to attend the Mass Lobby at Parliament on June 25th, 11am-4pm, organised by Trans Solidarity Alliance.
Last year we broke the record for an LGBT+ mass lobby of Parliament. Will you help us break it again? Join us on 25th June 2026 to demand be
The new EHRC Code of Practice pushes trans people out of toilets, hospital wards, and community spaces. It normalises gender policing based on appearance and stereotypes. It becomes statutory guidance in the UK by the end of June.
Trans people are now legally their assigned gender at birth and must join gendered spaces accordingly, but if they are perceived as their lived gender, they can also be ejected from those spaces. The guidance says: either break the law, or don’t pass too well.
A mass lobby is where you invite your MP to discuss your concerns with you in-person. Ask your MP to:
Demand full parliamentary scrutiny, debate, and use their free vote on the EHRC Code of Practice.
Support any motions rejecting the EHRC guidance. As of June 4th, Labour MP Nadia Whittome has submitted a prayer motion - Early Day Motion 240, please ask your MP to sign this.
Write to Bridget Phillipson, the Minister for Women and Equalities about our concerns
Your MP does not have to be an ally, they do not have to respond to your email for you to show up and greencard them (details below the cut.) What matters is that as many people as possible show up.
I cannot stress this enough: Showing up in person matters. It is much more effective than petitions, emails, and letters.
It is a horrible, stressful time, and I am so sorry if you're trans and live in the UK. But I was at last year's mass lobby and the line for greencarding alone stretched around the back gates. It was a record breaking mass lobby and made us impossible to ignore. Let's do even better this time. Details under the cut:
Worried about what to say?
Bring your personal worries about transphobia being signed into law, and trans friends being excluded from public spaces. You are a living person who deserves dignity. Remind your MP of that. You will also get guidance and brochures from Trans Solidarity Alliance that outlines our demands. This is mine from last year.
Money issues?
Trans Solidarity Alliance provides a travel bursary that you can sign up for via the link.
Got a refusal or no response from your MP?
Come anyway! You can request a same-day appointment with your MP through a process called greencarding. They will come and see you if they’re already in Parliament. Even if they don’t, they’re made acutely aware of your cause because you showed up in person. This is my greencard from last year.
Here is the EHRC Code of Practice in full. It's a tough read, but some highlights are:
Organisations can’t provide trans-inclusive, single-sex services, or they risk being sued for discrimination.
e.g. domestic violence support for women including trans women, men’s rugby group including trans men (12.68).
Trans people will have nowhere safe to pee.
If you’re a trans man, businesses can't allow you to pee in the men's, and you can also be ejected from women’s bathrooms if you’re perceived as a man. Vice versa for trans women. EHRC suggests a ‘third space’ bathroom, which is discriminatory and unworkable for most businesses. (13.130-133)
Sports organisations must exclude trans people from single-sex competitions (13.73).
A women’s only sports competition must exclude trans women because of their biological advantage or face potential lawsuits (13.74), but a trans man who has undergone testosterone treatment can also be excluded based on fairness rules (13.81).
Trans women are stripped of the legal definition of ‘lesbian’, and therefore no longer have legal protections if they’re discriminated against on the basis of sexual orientation. (2.50, 2.92).
Here is the Good Law Project's better explanation of the EHRC Code.
I have also made a PDF printout of QR codes for the government petition, email your MP tool, and mass lobby link to pass around your communities. DM me and I'll send it to you.
alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
papyrus really confronts a serial killer, fully prepared to stop them by force if necessarry, and starts his speech that's meant to convince them to turn around with "ok so first of all you're just fucking weird"
⚫️Encounter With The Flock - Overblot Event Open Starter (ft. Newton Tram, Oswaldo Umar, Morgante Furie, Melodia Bloss, and Izem Usiku)⚫️
When reports had started coming out that a group of students seemed to be blocking off the school's main sports field, it was difficult to believe.
Such a wide area, being manned by four students? The very notion seemed impossible to believe. Yet, approaching the source of the matter itself proved to be more than enough to confirm the whispers.
A wide dome of a shield seemed to contain a portion of the field, with four students working on a different quadrant to contain something within. Ink swam around and bubbled inside, enveloping a figure in the center while all manner of spells crashed into the shield and exploded into a variety of shapes and covers.
One of the students, a young woman with deep maroon hair, seemed to swear constantly with each impact - especially when a burst of a spell splashed into the shield, dousing her in water.
Another student, quiet and stoic, focused his abilities into the shield as best he could, allowing no sound nor sight to distract him from the task at hand. His reserves already seemed to be dwindling, though, as sweat beaded around his face while he channeled magic into the shield.
A third student shouted out something about a switch, and the disciplined student stumbled back to catch his breath. To compensate, the young man's magestone surged with energy that flowed into the shield with a vibrant orange glow. His lanky form was shadowed against the light from the spell, temporarily obscuring him from view.
The last student seemed to share her peers' determination, emerald eyes shooting forward, focused. Not even the songs of the wind would draw her attention right now, not when she was too busy trying to contain whatever was inside of the dome.
Still... the approach of a student (or students) was going to be a cause for concern. Especially when there was no way to determine a motive...
"You need to leave." The student said, assuming an offensive stance.
Two people entered into the area. The fiery ghost ( seemingly more distinct than others) didn’t seem to recoil at the offensive stance despite the stoicness of the student had made, facing it head on. However, the taller student… who seemed to be more physical than the ghost in the duo responded with a defensive position in response. Regardless, neither of them had decided to try provoking further, but instead quickly converse in the hectic situation,
“Licu, come on.” the ghost had hissed. “ People need us to act. So let’s do that right now.”
“Sometimes we need to be the support rather than the brute forces, Cyn.” Licu replied back with an almost…gurgling tone. It was at least, equally peculiar to explain.
Cyn seemed to nod in reluctant acknowledgment, although severely wary of the situation.
Licu tried talking to the stranger upholding the barrier currently, “ We don’t mean to be harmful, especially in a situation like this. We come in peace. I know you want us to leave but…Is there any way we can help right now?”
One of the students, the girl with the maroon hair, narrowed her eyes as she shifted her posture so that the magestone in her pen was still able to charge the spell.
"What part of get lost isn't clear?" She asked with a huff. "Unless you have personal experience handling a spell like this or can handle an overblot single-handedly, you should just-"
"Morgante," the lanky boy who was delivering commands called out. "If they're offering to help, we don't really have any other choice. Hear 'em out-"
"Ugh, fine..." The girl, apparently named Morgante, groaned before she turned back to the new figures. "Just... gimme a sec, kay?"
Another command was shouted across the field, and the student who had been taking a break resumed his place. The change allowed Morgante to step back and she sighed, her body seeming to slump from her previous defensiveness. She hated it when the others were right.
"... you're pretty dumb for coming into a crazy space like this, you know," She remarked, shaking her head. "But... honestly even if I could give you tips on how to help, it's, like, a total mystery to me on some of this..."
Morgante looked at the barrier. Another boy sat inside, his shoulders slumped in utter defeat. The massive catlike beast that prowled around him had no face, but was circling the inner walls with intensity. Morgante flinched when one of its paws slammed against the shield, splattering inky darkness around the site of the impact.
"... do either of you have any experience in conflict resolution? Or at the very least, talking guys out of making stupid decisions that they're going to regret...?"
Cyn acknowledged, “ Conflict resolution …That’s definitely more up Licu’s alley than mine. But regardless we can both talk decently.”
Licu muttered a bit, “ I mean, I suppose I can try helping about and calming people down, if nothing else.” That response earned an annoyed, although not foul glare from Cyn, which was pausing Licu enough for only a few seconds.
The student had gestured to their handbag they currently had, but was quickly dropped with a resounding drop, “ I’ve got a bag here, that might at least help your abilities here, considering how many things I’ve managed to gather.”
“In other words, they’re a hoarder. I can help have a look through their bag if there’s anything you need, and if Licu doesn’t have it, I can try and quickly find whatever it is elsewhere in the school.” Cyn had added. “There’s food, as well as some water, books and enough potions to fill up a bucket at the least, if not a few.”
Licu didn’t deny the allegation of being a hoarder, and had swiftly added, “ As for those two in the barrier….” The student had trailed off, watching the feline attack the barrier, clearly trying to escape the barrier, although at the least wasn’t constantly pounding on the barrier. However it was very concerning regardless, and yet…
“ I’m aware I’m about to suggest something insane to you but,” Licu finally answered, “ but in a few minutes, may I try entering through the barrier? Ideally without breaking the entire barrier.”
“Licu, I know you’re used to risk, but let’s maybe not choose the possible immediate death option.” Cyn argued. “ Wouldn’t be immediately helpful if you died on people we are trying to help. I’m already a ghost, let’s not expand the ghost list.”
A pause.
Licu relented, “ Okay, admittedly that was a rash idea, everything considered. Point relatively stands though, if we want any hope of getting that person to calm down, we’ll probably benefit from making focus on something that is not the barrier before anything else can be attempted.”
Morgante pursed her lips, humming in thought... going right in was honestly as good a shot as any, though she didn't really want anyone going in without some way of defending themselves, even if she doubted that her boss would purposely go out of his way to hurt someone.
"The potions... the others'll probably need them more than I do right now, but... whatever you've got should be plenty, so long as you're confident you can handle stuff fast."
She didn't seem too thrilled about walking into the muck that seemed to cover the ground inside the barrier, but she'd be damned if she was gonna send these randos in alone.
"Death really isn't something any of us wanna deal with, so... can't disagree with Ghosty on this one but..." Morgante sighed, a faint shrug on her shoulders. "I will say that the guy in there, Izem, he's... even like this, I dunno if he could bring himself to actually hurt you without you guys doing something first..."
She pointed to the wayward spells colliding with the barrier.
"That, though," she said. "Is the biggest problem right now believe it or not. My friend in there... his unique magic is... kinda like a magnet for spells, okay? Like a taunt effect or something for other's targeted magic. I dunno if there's any way to convince him to cancel it out for a minute so we can just... drop this shitty barrier, but who knows? Maybe he'll listen to a stranger at this point..."
Morgante shrugged again, certain she delivered the most important information.
"Either way... if you change your mind on going in, I'll head with you. Can't have anyone getting perma KO'd. Otherwise..." She gestured to a blot-covered wall. "Just give a knock and pray you get a response to chat... unless youve got any better ideas, those are probably the best options..."
Licu nodded at the suggestion of going together, “ Might be our only option if knocking on the barrier doesn’t get any response. But I’ll take you up on that offer of joining along if the first idea doesn’t work.” The student stretched for a few moments, before straightening their posture
Cyn nodded, before adding, “ Really ought to give the potions out fast before we try and attempt getting a response, assuming the others haven’t got their potions yet. I mean they might’ve and I’m just unaware but if they haven’t… that’s our priority, then let’s try and get a response in any form.”
"Fair enough..." Morgante replied, putting her magic pen in her pocket for the time being. "They haven't so lets make sure we've actually... yknow, got a solid barrier before trying anything else, yeah?"
She snagged a potion for herself, before looking to the others.
"If you want... I can go hand these out real quick while you start negotiations if you don't mind me touching your bag... though I gotta warn you, trying to chat really will be a Master-Level task... even if you have a high Charisma stat, you know what I mean? Those of us here are like... super close and still have struggled to break through, though I guess the barrier doesnt help..."
“Yeah, you can go ahead and do that, don’t worry. There’ll probably enough for a few potions amongst you all.” they had nodded, “And besides,” Licu had grabbed a few branches and pebbles from the field, “ it’ll give us a few moments for us to prepare something.” Unprompted, Licu started to grab more pebbles and sticks, moving away from Morgante, as if to give a sign that she could start the process. After a few minutes, they had gestured Cyn to follow them as they continued foraging. Cyn has followed, also collecting branches and rocks, visibly confused.
“Okay, what is your plan here? Because I doubt you’re using sticks and stones to break his bones because not is that insanely immoral and cruel, but also stupid.” Cyn asked, after being out of general earshot from most.
Not missing a beat, Licu claimed, “Campfire comedy.”
“ I’m sorry, what?!? We’re using stand up comedy to… gain attention from Izem?” Cyn questioned, bewildered.
“ Almost correct, we’re using sit down comedy.” Licu corrected playfully.
Cyn had understood the reason for the campfire well enough, it made some contrasting noise, had a distinct scent and possible taste, as well as warmth even if Izem hadn’t seen the fire, it could engage other senses well enough to try and start a conversation. But why the comedy?
“You barely use comedy to solve a solution.” Cyn had half stated, half asked.
“ Well yeah, but we can make a few jokes, not at Izem for the obvious reasons, just generally to invite.” Licu responded.
Cyn declared, somewhat lightheartedly, “ Respectfully, there is no us here. We are equals until horrible jokes are involved.”
“ Fine then, be the pun-chline.” they sighed. “ So much for whimsy.”
“ There’ll be no whimsy if we manage to make the situation worse, though.” Cyn reminded.
After a few more minutes of collecting pebbles and sticks, they had been dumped to the floor, not too close to the barrier ( because by god, if both of them could not burn the kitchen down when cooking and baking, then they should not burn down an entire barrier), before Licu had started sorting out pebbles and digging up dirt to start forming a fire bed and a ring of rocks.
When Morgante finally returned from the quick task, her expression temporarily dropped it's somber seriousness in favor of complete and utter bafflement.
"What in the fresh Hell are you two doing?"
It was a genuine question - Morgante had absolutely zero clue how a campfire of all things was going to do... well, anything really.
There was a sharp bang on the side of the barrier, though, and the beast that had been circling could be seen up against it. The large, ink-filled vial on its head sloshed with a similar confusion to the girl on the outside... perhaps that was one thing they could agree on right now.
Still, as she watched Licu continue to set things up, Morgante figured she had no other choice than to trust the process. If the phantom had shown up to investigate the whole situation then... well, clearly Izem had some sort of interest in whatever the fuck this was.
“ We’re setting up a campfire. ” Cyn had responded to Morgante.
“ Cynnn,” Licu had finally interjected, “ can you start the sparking? I’ve got most of the things set up. However, it’ll take embarrassingly long for me to do it, so please can you come here?”
Cyn gave a quick thumbs up, before with some friction had started the fire.
“Voila, let there be light,” Licu excitedly blurted.
Cyn, only with some frustration, stated “ There was already light from the sun. It’s not like we’re in a dark cave, Licu.”
“Well, I guess, let there be more light.” Licu sighed. “ Well, while we wait, guess we can crack a few jokes.”
Did…did they like, not notice Izem right behind them? They’re like 7 metres away from each other. It is not hard to miss seeing the individual you’re trying to gain attention from. How on everything have they not noticed? At least this would be interesting, if nothing else.
“Oh god, the puns and jokes are starting, get ready everyone.” Cyn responded.
Licu jabbed back to Cyn’s statement, “Come on, warm up a bit to some light humour, Cyn.”
“Nope, don’t even try.” Cyn retorted.
Licu sighed, “ Come on, don’t ash-er away my jokes just yet.”

The cheese powder and edible glitter weirdly canceled everything out and made it pretty much flavorless, it’s a lot like “The Flavor” in spaghetti form, the sides are good though
