what i learnt after he left me: alcohol doesn’t get rid of the taste of his lips and cigarettes don’t burn him off your skin they don’t numb you they just dizzy your mind and stumble your walk and slur your words he never ever leaves your mind, he just becomes more addicting just as addicting as those bottles and toxins. no matter how many times people tell you it will get better it won’t because a piece of you died with him, as he walk away deciding he doesn’t need you anymore, he took that piece with him and he isn’t coming back so you are never getting it back your friends will tell you that you’ll find another boy that will make you happier it’s not true you never forget the first boy that made you feel galaxies in your heart you never forget the first boy to hold you so close that you couldn’t even feel the rest of the world, you actually felt important to someone for once you never fucking forget the boy who was able to make you happy and also be able to destroy you all with that same smile within just 5 minutes because if you truly love him you never fucking stop those i love you’s never meant a fucking thing to him, they were just sweet words he said after he kissed your neck. those 3 am phone calls on those summer nights where he told you, that you are ‘the most beautiful girl in world’, he didn’t mean it he just had trouble sleeping that night and was in the mood to play with your mind and make you fall asleep to his lies it’s been 5 months and i know he’s probably doing alright while i’ve lost my mind, ruined my life, lost people i once loved, i am now messing up a couple classes, i’ve changed my outlook on life and the way i act, you took over my mind. time doesn’t heal anything, you just grow things to replace old memories but one fucking thing will remind you of him and you are back to where you started. don’t make him your happiness because when he leaves you won’t even remember how to smile.
