So.. Today I turn 20 years old. This means that as of this day, the 9th of May 2015, I am no longer a teenager. The death penalty is wrong. Full stop. No one has the right choose whether someone can live or die. Furthermore, the cruelest part of the Balinese legal system is the fact that they allow these criminals to live for years, not knowing when their days might be cut short, and then as these years go on they change and become better people, are rehabilitated, and then they kill them. Not only that, but they execute them in the most barbaric and sadistic way possible. It is disgustingly sick and unjust! I also understand that these men committed a crime and had full knowledge of the laws they were breaking, however, nothing justifies treating human beings like this. This is not a question on whether these men did wrong or deserved this or not, this is a question of how backwards and ridiculous legislation in these countries are, and how corrupt they can be. When it suits them, they are a strict and moral nation, and yet at other times they are the most corrupt and selfishly motivated. I shall never set foot in Bali, purely in principle. RIP ❤️🌹 p.s these are just my opinions, I'm sure many have different thoughts on the matter but I felt like I really had express this because it makes me so upset. Please don't try and comment and pick arguments with what I just said. I'm not looking for a debate.
