She nodded gravely. “I know!” she said. “A lot of people find this confusing. But the speech tag belongs to the line of dialogue, it’s still part of the sentence, so it’s wrong to capitalise it.”

Just like Tom, Harry would no longer be sitting on a hefty trust fund, and would have to legitimately fight an uphill battle for a good career as an orphaned half-blood. i’ll be honest: i think tom riddle was voldemort years before he ever “became him,” and i think he was still tom riddle years after he tried to drown that orphan in a metaphorical bathtub

I keep seeing these asks submitted to tomarry shippers saying that canonically the horcrux in Harry is only used as a tool for war rather than connection, or that Voldemort has no capacity to love the way most people understand it in a romantic or familial or platonic sense, and other such things to argue that the ship doesn’t make sense.

You’re trying to make this a “gotcha!” moment but we’re all legitimately hearing you out bro. I’ve never seen a tomarry shipper deny canon facts, and most love the opportunity to reinterpret Harry and Voldemort’s dynamic from different angles.

It’s just always a weird thing to say bc like. You see us playing pretend with our dolls over here for fun and you invite yourself over just to complain that the imaginary play is not realistic. We already know, but what are you even doing here? 😭 Are you lost or something

Think the worst thing ever is when you’ve lived with depression for so long and you negotiate with yourself to break the monotony and try something new (objectively necessary for recovery) only for you to make a mistake or for something cartoonishly unlucky to happen to you while doing so. Like the other day I was like hm, isn’t driving somewhere aimlessly in exploration a classic young adult thing to do when you get a license? It would surely help if I proactively sought after experiences I’d otherwise regret missing out on in the future. So I went and did that.

Every light turned red as soon as I approached it, the humidity was unusually high so my mirrors and windshield fogged up, I went to a lookout and the parking was full, somebody honked at me for doing the speed limit, and my frustratingly low bumper got scratched as hell tryna go down a normal road crest even at half the speed recommendation. I got back home and my tank was half full so I would also need to fill it up the next day. Fuel is $2.70/litre now because of the orange man so I’ll need to spend $50 I don’t have.

Then you’re like, I’m stressed as fuck and cleaning/tidying helps me cope with that usually. So you start cleaning. The mop head needs replacing, you ran out of bleach, you need to add surface spray concentrate to the shopping list, your micro fibre cloths for glass and mirrors are pilling and leaving streaks, and you got distracted decluttering a drawer, so it’s nighttime now with only half the house finished.

The world is literally penalising you for trying to live life and ngl at this point the cheapest and safest thing to do seems to be video calling friends, reading fanfiction and going to sleep.

I’m not a big fan of how in many tomarry fics Harry’s character suffers in favour of making Tom Riddle seem cool.

Like y’all. I don’t care how much of an overachieving genius Tom was, that man is canonically a patchwork of the worst character flaws anyone could ever have. I love him because he is a loser. He is beautiful and smart and over-emotional and egotistic and cruel and antisocial and it ruins his life.

Fics tend to write Harry as surly and reacting with anger, but in canon the only time we see him genuinely get angry after all the shit he’s been through is 1) when he has to deal with Umbridge, and 2) after Sirius dies at the Ministry. I’d go so far as to say that he is less emotional than Tom.

Harry’s levels of idgaf are so unapologetically high that he literally sees no point in pandering or lying to anyone about anything. He goes to formal networking events with outcasts, breaks rules on the regular, blows up his aunt because she pissed him off, casually murders his DADA professors on a Tuesday afternoon… he literally asked the Minister for Magic to sign his Hogsmeade permission form and crucio’d a Death Eater for spitting on McGonagall.

There’s no realistic scenario where Harry James Potter would be submissive or overly insecure.

Tom’s too self-conscious about preserving his reputation and people respecting him to actually be himself. His ego is a castle of cards, dependent entirely on his Slytherin heritage, his high grades, and his utter lack of scruples. If any of those are cast into doubt, he loses his temper and becomes completely unhinged.

I reblogged this art to the "Naruto" community and then went to bed and now my cat woke me up so I checked Tumblr just to find the first notification greeting me that my art was removed from there for being "Ai generated" like what?!!! What?!! Like really?! Did I just spend literally a week drawing this so I get accused of this so easily?!! I'm getting the process now to upload it here but I'm just so mad, so sad and so heartbroken!! Why does this keep happening to me specifically?! Why do I have to post my process every time or people will say that bs?! Why do I have to always do more effort to just not be accused of something like this?! I literally can't stop crying rn because this is too much. like I get it guys we all hate Ai but why are we punishing acual artists for it?!!! Is this why my art isn't getting notes anymore here?!! Literal stolen art is getting way more notes than my hard work here now and it's just so so so unfair, I've never felt my heart as broken as i do rn and I've been through a lot in my life!. Like at least ask me before throwing something like this in my face, at least ask for my process first or anything, do people hate my art now? Should I stop drawing at all? Would that make everyone happy?!!
