Holy sh*t, right? This is exactly what I want to be able to do, and is exactly why I continue to attend yoga classes.

Since beginning yoga in February, I’ve attended classes over 25 times, 9 weeks in a row (that’s 1,500+ minutes of Vinyasa). My flexibility and upper body strength has massively improved, and I’m able to do things with my body now that I never thought possible before. It is crazy how empowering it is when those pushups you could barely do in the beginning now come to you with ease, and how all you want to do is giggle and celebrate when you can finally touch your nose to your shins during a straight-legged forward fold.

I love fitness.

For those of you just beginning, you might not be the best now. You may not be able to do all the things with your body you wish you could do. But every small step forward is a step in the right direction. Each time you work at it, your body gets stronger, your muscles sculpt themselves to be just a little tougher, and you are that much closer to achieving your goals. Each healthy choice you make in your day adds up over time, so don’t quit!

Stay consistent. Keep at it. You’ve got this.
