Peek behind the curtain as to how I did some of my renders. Literally just a flat plane with a photo for the background. Hardest part is matching the lighting and finding a good photo to sneakily use. Friend made the big brain suggestion of just taking an IKEA shot 🧠
First image is the final render. Second image is a direct viewport view on the left, and a second viewport on the right that shows the whole setup.
More renders of those dice. I used these to advertise a short mentorship for students, inviting them to make dice too to throw onto a huge pile. Got the results of that up on Artstation!
Small little side project to get better acquainted with Blender got a little out of hand. All rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 5, the ray tracing does miracles. 👀 Uploaded this to my Artstation with a couple more renders you can check out here.
guy who is burnt out beyond recognition and can barely get through the workday just to collapse into bed when he gets home voice: I have got to make art again. it will heal me

Collection of concepts of various contemporary/retro weaponry. Inspired by various prototypes or designs from the 80′s and 90′s. Having fun with unique magazine types such as helical magazines, or just trying to make something that would work in an older James Bond movie. See my Artstation or Twitter for more weapon concepts!
Final one. See my artstation to see all of them!
6 of 7 for #2021GUN
Heavy Bolt Action sniper rifle.
Tried to be as quick as possible with only using a single layer this time around. Only a couple more and I have done a week’s worth in a single theme.
Continuing on till I get a weeks worth of guns for #2021GUN Here is the 'Thumper' a sliding striker revolver.
High caliber, wildly inaccurate after its second shot. But destroys limbs into fine mist in the blink of an eye. Just be prepared to destroy your own wrist when holding the trigger for all 6 shots to rapidly fire.
Another gun for #2021GUN This time exploring some more out there ideas. The Pop Lock, a helicalmagazine lever-action shotgun. See my twitter for Beanz edition.
Finished another weapon concept, continuing on with my previous inspiration and mood. This time its an SMG called the Rattler.
Really more of funky pistol, and named after the sounds I imagine it would make.
Inspired by Wardog Studios #2021GUN challenge to make my own concept.
A dieselpunk rifle by combining some of my favourite weapons, culminating in the MP Herder. (Shepherd in Dutch)
